If you were stranded with only a Spyderco Paramilitary 2 and a lighter, would you be able to survive? Watch how this blade performs as the Late Boy Scout takes it outdoors. How does a folding knife do in the back country?
Want to see more knives being tested? Check out our extensive play list: • Field Tests
If you want to check out this knife, we have it here: www.bladehq.com/cat--Spyderco...
The music is a composition by award-winning guitarist Don Alder. We contacted him on a whim via KZbin and he cordially let us use the song for our video. Go listen to more of his music here:

I'm so glad this video drove me to buy a Paramilitary 2 a year ago. This knife saved my arse back in august when I dislocated my knee out hiking because I was able to bash it through a limb to make a crutch and baton some wood to combine with my shirt to make a splint. This knife truly is invincible

I love the fact that some people, myself included, still enjoy the art of using simple tools such as knives to do a days work...whether you in a situation where youre surviving an unexpected circumstance, or just doing bushcraft style tasks, knives are a part of the story of humans and still going strong.

Most of your spyderco knives will be able to withstand this kinda abuse the one that fits the job better would be the shaman. The manix 2 lightweight has also impressed me for toughness

I remember buying mine largely based on this review. I've never cut down a tree or batoned with it; but, it's still my favorite knife, even over my Manix 2.

Such a fine feather stick even after all that hard use is one of the reasons I bought this knife after watching this video the first time in 2013. I usually have the right tool for the job I'm doing, but this showed me I could trust this knife if something happened to my primary fixed blade! Thanks LBS & KHQ!

Oh FINALLY I got my S35VN version Para in my hands today and it feels so sweet! And how fast the shipment is! Thank you so much Blade HQ! I swear it is one of the most comfortable ones that have been in my hands. Locking is solid, VERY solid. Result of paper test is perfect. I believe it must be not the biggest, yet the strongest in my folding collections. All Hail Spyderco!!

You guys have the best and most entertaining knife channel on youtube. I have been into knives for about 4 and a half years now, and collect on a very small budget. Sometimes my parents will let me buy stuff with their money but mostly its gonna come outa my wallet. I spend everyday constantly learning about different steels, brands, companies, different locking mechanisms and whatever else you can think of that is related to knives. Please upload more bugout vids.

Nice! Own the paramilitary 2 and the para3. Both great solid knives but the blades do thin out at the tips. It was interesting to see the blade used for splitting wood given how thin the tip is, glad it held up to you banging on it.
