I had the classic Doop skates, late 2018 model, no Trinity mount either, 3x100mm wheels. I was intrigued by the powerslide brand videos of people putting them on, boom, so easy peasy, and i kept wondering why so few skaters bought and used them. Not to be negative, but I hated them. They allowed too much foot movement for me, particularly side-to-side. The length adjustment on the sole was fussy and would loosen over time. I decided, hey, just use them for simple commuting gentle skates on skate path, nothing taxing like curbs and such. Nope, still too wiggly on my foot (proper sizing was confirmed by seller)...tight when I first cinched them up, but wiggly at the front foot within 10 minutes of skating. The advantage of wearing my own shoes (I used Converse All-Stars) was not nearly enough to offset the sketchy nature of the skates and the performance, so I returned them (the US seller had a liberal return policy, plus I put my own wheels on them so the stock wheels were new), and I exchanged them for other skates (some FR1s by Seba before the company folded/morphed)). I pray that your experience is different, Nik. I know you'll give an honest review, perhaps your 4x80 will be more stable. Maybe you'll find the "gold" in them that I never discovered. 🤤

mine broke in after 5 months + making sure i could tighten the top strap as much as possible its unfair to wait so long for them to break in ,this is the paddings fault and in my case the frame was centered weird i would place the top buckles 4 mm higher ,use thinner padding around the top ,and change the 45 degree buckle kzbin.info/www/bejne/nKbIZKVuo5t2sJI

Nik! Dude I was just looking at Doop skates last night and then you posted this! Great minds think alike. Haha. I really want to try Doop skates, especially the new models, but I have so many inline frames already that I want to just buy the boot instead of the full skate package and that doesn’t seem to be an option.

Right. I’ll be interested to hear what your input on them is. Most reviews and comments on them I’ve seen usually say they’re not as good as they’re supposed to be and are generally problematic, but supposedly the new models that just released is supposed to be a lot better. I’ve seen claims that they have fixed the loosening issues with the straps and put the boot on a trinity mount. We’ll see, I guess.

Ну я и не жду от них ничего особенного. Хотя сидят вроде на ноге вроде плотно. Говорят, многое от обуви зависит. Буду в разной обуви их тестировать.
