Hello. I’m fresh new to use Blair Pipes. So, o bought the pipes and today I received the chanter. I’m confused because I thought I would be receiving the entire pipes?!?!?!?

Hi lee , did you get any joy with the chanter ? I had the same problem with mine when I got it . In the end I updated it on the pc which gave me all the various pipes .

@@alankingwell Hi Alen--I did enjoy playing with the little rascal, however, I could NOT after month of trying get a smooth 8💕 note scale....or❤️ even a 6 note scale. The precise distance of fingers🤣-to-holes was too mu☺️ch to cope with... Just for the record I compose piano music so I know a wee bit abou☺️t music and discipline..I read one should start bagpiping before 12 yearsnold... I understand why now.. But I did get a nice drum! Bodrhan -🥰 And😉 I'll be😇 keeping to the piano--or the guitar from now on. Cheers

@@LeeMcLaughlin try watching all the videos by matt willis who teaches just about everything about the bagpipes first. you have to understand these monsters. there's just sooo sooo much going on inside of a a bagpipe to make that amazing crazy sound. reeds, drones, a sealed pressurized bag you breathe in and then you squeeze it all out. lots of stuff going on there.

Nope. But I’m considering it strongly. I think I’ll just play a decent chanter and goose. Till I’m proficient. Which I will achieve. I am a piano player. Mostly sdlf taught. So I have stamina and focus. But the pipes. Well. Dunno yet!! Hahahahaha
