I met Blake Foster back in May 2019 for the Nottingham Comic Con event at the Notthingam Motorpoint arena because I was very first ever visit to Nottingham. I gave him the heads up about the live-action Pokemon movie release of Detective Pikachu.

I watched Power Rangers Turbo from the movie up then on FOX Kids (Back when such existed). The 1st Ranger to be nowhere near old enough to drive...cute yet 🤯...& a legit Martial Artist Black Belt to begin with at that.

I remember watching the tv commercial for this movie and when he said, “Guys, I’m the new Blue Ranger,” I never got up off the couch so quick in my life. I was in such disbelief, mind you, I was only 9 at the time.

You know what, Turbo might have nearly killed the series, but I'm pretty sure they could've done INFINITELY worse than Blake. At least Blake can actually portray a believable kid in this scenario and that he can actually do some moves.

***** Great point, that'd be interesting to have swapped during the movie. It wouldn't be insulting to use the Turbo powers when the Zeo powers were said to be infinitely growing if it was a different team using it in the first place.

@KBM 515 There were indeed lots of innovations with Turbo, but it unfortunately came with trashing on the Zeo cast and that's what did it for the fans, past and present. In my opinion, the Zeo cast should've simply retired and we should've *started* with the mid-season team that way we get an entire season to build them up pre-In Space to make Justin's goodbye more painful for this team and we can actually justify with the Carranger wackiness using a newbie team. In Space and a little retrospection proved to me the new Rangers and Justin were never the problem, it was the mess that was the MMPR/Zeo legacy in it. ...Also, that diverse cast did lead to Andre's Selwyn Ward running gag and it's awesome.

They sure do. They don’t look much alike when Alex turned twelve and thirteen in the early 2000’s. Alex changed his hairstyle in Race to Space and Max Keeble’s Big Move. And also in Full Court Miracle.

When i first saw turbo i did find it really hard to believe an 11 year old kid as a power ranger and one in high school too. Now I would say its interesting but far fetched. the movie did put me in mind of jake llyod in phantom menace a fair bit

Turbo is when I stopped watching power rangers. The movie and the series were awful. If not for Power Rangers In Space and Dino Thunder the series would have been cancelled.
