Because they were the ones that put in the rule that an Intimacy coordinator should ALWAYS be present when filming Intimate scenes. If he had followed the rules, he could not accuse her of not meeting them. The scenes should not have been filmed without one on set so whether or not her accusations are true, he broke the rules and that's a definite, not accusation.

Exactly. I unfortunately tried her hair care line and all it did was leave my hair looking weighted and dirty, like I hadn’t washed my hair in weeks and even worse left my hair feeling not clean even right out of the shower. Even from her very first promotional pictures for her hairline people were commenting on the same thing that it just didn’t look good not to mention the the packaging was clunky and hard to use and for me there was this really offputting chemically smell that was there all the time didn’t really go away. At first I thought that she rushed things into production because she was desperately trying to get that Barbie/Oppenheimer movie moment between her and her husband’s movie Deadpool and the reason why she was marketing it like it was Barbie, 2.0 except she said an interview interviews she spent almost 8 years, creating this… which honestly boggles my mind with how it turned out. She hasn’t stopped to even consider the fact that it literally might just be her that is the problem with how she’s being perceived. It might just be her while there’s no new projects lined up because what director studio wants to work with an actress who will leverage their continuing to act or promote whatever film she’s doing which can cost anywhere from a couple million to multi multi millions just to get her way and then have a temper tantrum if she doesn’t. It makes absolutely no sense that Baldoni would try tank his costar’s career - and thus the movie he was so passionate about - while he’s trying to make the movie a success and just because it ended up not being quite as much of a success as she expected, and she did not actually get her Oscar nomination (which she apparently thought this movie was her ticket) it’s not his fault. I was actually very open to maybe something of happening on set when her complaint came out, but there’s always something there that held me back and I just thought it was odd for lack of a better word. And then when his side came out and the fact that it looks like her site altered the text messages, removing context and actually changing the order and taking certain things out (like the continual claims that they were not the ones planting these stories) she has to at the very least explain why that happens because I’m gonna look 10 times harder into the party that is coming off kind of shady especially since Baldoni has had no history of any type of these rumors coming forward. He actually has gotten to know well with all of his costars, even on female dominated sets like Jane the virgin and has kept in contact with all his costars, even after filming ends continuing to socialize and comment on social media, long after production ended, and was even asked to officiate the wedding of his costar Gina Rodriguez. Then there is the fact that Ryan Reynolds is making fun of him in the Deadpool movie basing the character Nicepool on a male feminist who had a podcast trying to end toxic masculinity making comments about ladypool being pregnant and looking hot after losing the weight and then having Deadpool and the wolverine use him as a human shield right in front of a flower shop when lady pool shot him. It seems wrong that a husband would make fun of this person when his wife is accusing him of something extremely serious… something that if it happened a few years ago during the height of the me too movement would have completely ended Baldoni’s career. And why wasn’t this brought up months ago when Ryan Reynolds apparently offered about Downie millions of dollars to sell him the right to the book and its sequel… it honestly shows both Blake and her husband Ryan Reynolds true colors I think, and that the multiple stories of them and their bad behavior (like how Reynolds took over his own movie, getting rid of the director on the first Deadpool and on second one). Honestly, the only one who’s winning is the public who get to see the rather gross disgusting PR underbelly being used to protect one person over the other in this little scenario, proving which party has the power.

She’s accusing or somebody in her camp is accusing Sony being behind the marketing strategy. Apparently Sony is the one that said you need to concentrate on your hair care products and your alcohol and empowerment and totally ignore the DV side. I don’t believe that for a second, but that’s what they claim. She’s been in control all along. She’s the one that decided what cut of the movie was released and she’s the one that decided what the marketing campaign was going to be. You can tell because she’s the only one pictured. Also, she’s claiming a smear campaign, while simultaneously smearing somebody. In a court of law, all sides are going to be considered. The public opinion side will not be considered. They’ll look at the facts. They’ll look at the evidence and then they will also look at precedent because it’s a civil case not a criminal case. In criminal cases, you are not allowed to use evidence that is outside of the actual crime, nothing that could be prejudicial to a jury. That issue does not exist in civil cases And she has past precedent of having issues, he on the on the other hand does not. Same as the Amber Heard case. While some people still believe Amber, the jury did not. It isn’t just because she had lesser attorneys than Johnny Depp she didn’t. It’s because she didn’t have a good case. It’s the same thing here. They both have good attorneys. Whoever has the better case is going to be the winner. Now it’s a tall order to win a liable case against the New York Times. But not impossible. In most cases, it didn’t succeed because the person suing ran out of funds before they could finish the suit. Justin does not have that issue here, he has a billionaire backing him up who’s angry. This is probably going to go all the way.

Blakes lawsuit has the marketing agreement attached which outlines the message that the movie was to focus on a story of hope and not DV. That's what people are missing. They heard the accusations but have missed the appendix which is better evidence than he said she said. Both have texts which can be taken out of context by good lawyers which they both have, but things like the marketing agreement and the agreement Baldoni business partner signed saying they will no longer engage in harassment will be harder for Baldoni et Al to overcome. Ots easy to convince the internet that she is a mean girl, but when you sign legal agreements as a business who has a lawyer to overlook legal documents, playing ignorant won't make them overlook it. Then he broke the SAG rules to always have an Intimacy coordinator present when filming which was specifically brought in to protect against harassment, that looks bad. He had meetings with one but the rules say they should be at the set during filming and by saying Blake didn't meet the Intimacy coordinator, hr admitted to not having one on set pr they would have met when the scenes were being filmed. I don't know who is telling the truth yet. There is likely to be some truth on both sides, but legally, so far he has hurdles to overcome. She may be a mean girl but that's not illegal. If she took over the movie like he says he will need to show that she did it by doing something illegal, because being mean will not be enough in a court of law

It said to emphasize positivity and hope, which Baldoni did while also drawing attention to DV survivors. There were two intimacy coordinators hired. You don't just show up on set and then start working on how the scene should go, you work much out pre-production to save money (rehearsing before paying for the crew to hang about). She refused to meet then. Filming was held up by two industry strikes so the first IC may no longer have been available at the start of filming but they did get another one. There is footage of Lively grabbing, pulling, and directing how she wants Baldoni to initiate physical intimacy with her character without consulting him or the IC first so she was comfortable working without one and improvising. What was arguably illegal was how she threatened to stop work and thus shut down production and then refuse to promote the film if she did not get her way on everything. That is extortion. Also illegal is libelling him with false accusations of a smear campaign. We will see when all the evidence comes out. Right now, his receipts are stronger.
