Masters is exactly who is needed to run a regulatory and enforcement agency. As someone who would be considered "on the left" I would absolutely love to see Brandon Herrera as director of the ATF. I would presume I disagree with him on a lot of issues, but on guns I am fully behind him, and that's all that should really matter for ATF director, given that the A and the T mean nothing anymore. Blake Masters just seems like a corporate stooge who likely doesn't actually care about the issues, he just says "guns good" because he knows that it'll get him massive support but would absolutely abandon that position if it became politically expedient. Venture Capitalist = protected by private security with weapons the rest of us aren't allowed to have. I don't trust him.

My personal anecdote about brandon herrera . I worked with a children’s orphanage by the border to help with their security operations. Brandon reached out to our org on multiple occasions as we had hosted big events(state representatives, news reporters, activists, etc). He time and time again backed out. This was at a time where the exposure he could have brought us would help the issue. He ghosted us on more than one Occassion. Personally i think the guy is just a grifter. It was our crew that got the footage of border patrol cutting the razor wire to let people in; the real people acting to stop these issues hardly get any exposure and people like brandon get tons either though they didnt even show up to help. Unfortunately; that experience totally destroyed my perception of brandon. From what I’ve personally seen behind the KZbin curtain he’s just another grifter saying what he needs to get attention but couldn’t keep his word on his actions. I wouldn’t trust him with running a kids soccer game nevertheless the ATF AMA but keep in mind i have to be ambiguous about certain details.

The only issue with Brandon Herrera for ATF director is that it creates a conflict of interest. Or me. I can understand what the 2nd A means. No regulation, except training. The BATF should focus on safe handling of all of the items listed. All law enforcement duties immedately rescinded, effective immediately. Referrals to local law enforcement should go through a local court for enforcement. The BATF could really be a good thing, if the director understood what government is supposed to do. Furthermore, the BATF should support local law abiding militia, and law enforcement with weapons confiscated from real criminals.

For those who advocate abolishing the ATF I shall relate this interesting factoid. For 100 years there was an official US Government tea tasting board. Yes, that is right the US Government thought we needed tea tasters. In 1996 the US Congress disestablished the board. Yet the board really did not cease functioning until 2023. So if it took 27 years for a minor government entity to be shut down, how long do you thing the ATF will Take? The bureaucrats won't let it.
