Jacqueline was perfectly superb and outrageously fabulous in this role. RIP. Would it be in bad taste, at this time, to also state that Servalan stirred something deep in my teenage loins when watching the original screenings of Blakes 7 in the late 70's early 80's? Probably, but I am confident I am far from alone; and, sorry Spice Girls this was real Girl Power!!

Servalan was the best arch-villain in sci-fi and in Blake's Seven if B7 had not had Servalan as the arch-villain it would never have worked as well.

It was more or less a cult show. Not many outside of "Dr. Who" fans know of it; Terry Nation, the guy who created the Daleks, the late Terry Nation, who created the Daleks, also created this show. It ran for about four seasons before the BBC finally cancelled it. It's still very popular and it has its own fan base, but nobody's really made any serious attempts to reboot it. They should, though, now that they don't have "Torchwood" anymore.

I was on the London Underground once, this right annorak had his face buried in a Doctor Who magazine and, looking over his shoulder, he was excitedly reading about the Blakes 7 DVD release. Little did he realise the actress that played Servalan was right next to him. I said nothing.

I like her Mel & Kim-inspired white hat at the beginning. There's one scene which I don't think is here: where some berk Servalan has been using to further her career who cuddles up to her thinking they are an item and says: "How many people have you killed to get where you are? 10? 20?". During their embrace, Servalan sticks a weapon in his neck and kills him, saying: "Oh, about 23 now." - and walks away, stepping over his body. She was so cool.
