Blake's Legend (Blake's 7 fan spin-off) Webisode 2

Created by Taffkirk Productions as a purely non profit fan spin-off from the TV series of Blake's 7. Set immediately after the events at the end of the series.
Webisode 2 forwards the story by 17 years from the end of the TV series and follows the Icarus crew as they search for their hero.
Created and Produced by Chris Kirk & Mark Jones. Written by Tim Pieraccini. Directed by Robert Lumsden. Filmed by Chris Kirk, David Clarke and Stephen Cranford. The copyright belongs to Terry Nation and the BBC. This is purely non profit for fan entertainment.

Absolutely gutted there are only 2 webisodes of this. Really enjoyed it and was so looking forward to more. I’ve searched the web to no avail.

Thank you for all your lovely comments - even by our standards this is pretty bad and dated, but it is certainly nice to finally get it out there and we always feel a twinge of wishing we were back when the real ones were coming out. Incidentally - they have just done some very nice Big Finish audio releases! So the real crew live on - Sadly without Tudders :(

+Chris Kirk The Effects are BBC quality and better. Sound quality, and some of the acting are the weak points. So far so good.

Wholly true to the spirit of the original (one could easily believe it was a seamless continuation of the series)... and the Lusk character often sounds disturbingly like Avon (that's a nice touch). Very much looking forward to seeing the rest. Considering this was from before the era of cheap digital video, I'm quite impressed. Good job!

Very , very clever - proves a reboot could be possible but would require the rebroadcasting of the original series right before the reboot was released so that new fans could understand the whole concept . Glad to see the “ earthiness” of the original hasn’t been compromised .

Well done! When DID you make this? I can't see any signs of ageing and Peter Tuddenham's voice is still there, so... must have been a while. Hope there will be a webisode 3, because you can't just leave it on a cliffhanger!

Amazing! As a fan of the original series you should carry on with webisode 3 as I can't wait for episodes 4- 13? Oh well I can dream Please release webisode 3 ASAP. If it was me I would charge 1 pound for each viewing and use the money to complete the remaining 10 episodes just a thought (from vila) good luck

Maybe you should be in contact more with them? Paul Darrow has the B7 rights now? I know you have the re-beginnings of something more to come! Pursue?

A tad roppy due to a scene where the sound went 'futt' & this was in the days before we had boom operators and proper shep (Windshield), but hey ho! The plan is once they are all done we will do one more sound restoration pass and visual De-noise then release the movie as it was intended to be seen.....well that the plan, but since this fan fiction effort has been lost found and gathered dust for 15 years...it might take a while.....maybe :)

Pretty good stuff. The three main characters are certainly interesting, especially Jector. Unfortunately, most of the actors share a common fault of not having good voice projection. Still, enjoyable enough to watch, and to hope for more.

I loved it, well done. I would like to see webisode three and more. Is it really possible that Avon and the rest could play any parts. I have Paul Darrow's books and perhaps the plot could see them returning in years to come and meeting Avon as an older man, sort of like in the book and then he could make an appearance now and again. I realize my suggestions are merely wishful thinking but I have the complete series and the end still gets to me. I would love to see more of Blakes 7 and even Avon as he is today. Thanks again for the revisit. Long live imagination, decent stories, and likeable characters. It really doesn't matter whatever the budget, I grew up using my imagination to provide effects and magic and if you provide the rest I will love it and I am only a normal person, there are millions just like me, nothing special so they would love it too :)

I liked this webisode as well, but the sound quality could be improved a LOT. It changes from normal, barely audible and too loud. Was this also made 15 years ago, or is it more recent?

Sadly you are right. Many of the tapes had degraded and there are some scenes that are all but lost. We have done as much as we can in the edit, but didn't want to cut anything out.

Maybe this is dead project now? I can't say I really followed it; just discovered today after watching some Blake 7 documentary. It is hard to follow due to bad sound. The acting isn't horrible but something must be done about sound levels and also filtering out wind. However, I have an even more scathing criticism for direction; this is NOT Star Trek. When beaming down to the planet surface, don't act like this is Star Trek. Members of Blake's 7 would ALWAYS have their guns drawn with everyone taking defensive positions covering as much of 360 degrees as possible PRIOR to beaming off the Liberator. NEVER would the crew have to draw their weapons AFTER they arrive; they were always ready to FIRE! I'm sorry to be so adamant but this is a fine point which, in my eyes, has always made Blake's 7 superior to Star Trek.

This is a great homage to blakes seven, however these are different people a different crew who would do things different like any individual would. Having never met Blake or spent any time with any of the original crew their methods would be different and that's the key word different ship, different crew, different protocols and different ways to doing things. Say you yourself was the captain of a ship and you had your own ideas of how to run that ship or how to command it would you then expect a different captain on a different ship to do everything the way you do. Everyone is an individual with individual ideas no one person or even a group of people acts like another group just because that's how they saw them do it .this series is still a great effort by everyone involved it's a pity that it wasn't longer

I wish that we could. Terry Nation's lot are very precious about copyright and the quality of the film is appalling as it is so old now and some of the tapes had degraded. Works well on-line though.
