I'm in my late 50's. I grew up listening to Strait, Merle, Cash, Alabama, Conway, Tanya, Reba and others in the eighties. Of all the what I call "younger singers" Blake is probably my favorite. I grew up singing in church. All I sing now is an occasional karaoke night. I've always felt like if people don't feel an emotion when you sing it's a waste. When Blake sings I feel something. I see scenes in my mind. Good stuff.

Conway did it without all the technology … he is a legend. Blake’s voice is beautiful without question, but the purity in it comes from his youth and technology … I love them both but Conway’s version still feels more personal and heartfelt. I agree, just heard him mention he sang this song on the voice & I was like, isn't that Conway's song. Now I'm remembering, he sang his song. Did a great job on it!

I will always love Blake and his voice, but do miss his country roots and bringing old country music & artists to a new audience. He definitely is more creative spending time on his OK ranch. Living with Gwen Stefani in Hollywood opens her up to appreciating country, but his songs with her are not the same as with other country artists. She does not have the vocals or talent for country singing or songwriting required beyond pop, and brings him more into California artists. I know they have moved on, but he & Miranda pushed one another to expand their songwriting skills and lived & breathed country music. He used to laugh & talk about them constantly singing at home and collaborating on songs together. I know he wanted children and she didn't, he spent a lot of time in California & there is her infidelity, so guess it just wasn't meant to be. Still miss that creative spark. 😊 Hope he gets back to his roots as he has more songs to create and sing. Maybe spend time with new country talents and work with them at his restaurant/clubs to give them an outlet. He could even create a record label since the Voice didn't follow through in that area! 👍 Gwen's kids are in school in CA, so they probably will continue to spend most of the year in their rambling ultra modern housing complex in the hills. Just hope Blake doesn't have regrets someday not having his own child. He is 46 and Gwen is 53. If anything happened to her (Lord forbid), or they divorced, he would have no rights. I know he truly loves Gwen's kids, but Gavin will always be their father. Just wish he could have at least one to carry on his country roots. They run deep in Oklahoma. 😔
