I stumbled on ETC about 3 years ago and I’m just amazed I honestly haven’t heard him till now….I’m 23 years old and think that he put out some of the most heartfelt raw country ever made. His music will live on but I think it’s severely underrated and under appreciated

Josh, I love to hear and know young men like you. Are listening to real music, and recognize it for what it is and how it compares to todays music. I hope you are playing guitar and maybe trying to write your own songs ? Here is a little trivia for ya ! ETC is from Portsmouth, Ohio. I dated a girl from there and made hundreds of trips. They have a public park named after ETC there. With a very small shifty sign at the entrance acknowledging him. I personally thought that was a joke, given what this man has left for us. They also have a huge flood wall, with murals from a very famous artist. Bob Dafford, Google this and see if I am wrong ? They acknowledge Roy Roger's and a couple of MLB players. But nothing of ETC ? Another mistake, ETC deserves more recognition than a simple sign at the park ! Anyway, keep listening to the good stuff young man.

Blake should pay tribute to Earl Thomas Conley by covering Earl's songs on a future album. That would be a great way to pay tribute to his hero, don't you think? I love Blake's sense of humor. That story he told about the day he went to Earl Thomas Conley's house to write a song with him, had me cracking up! Especially when he talked about being in Earl's bathroom! I told my Mom that if Blake wasn't already a country singer, he could be a comedian. He is so funny!
