Shout out to Cassandra for filming and all of the editing, she doesnt nearly enough of the credit that she deserves. And Blake Im with the ones sayin that you dont owe anyone an explanation about all of this. Thanks for takin the time to try and explain it all. But at the end of the day we can see clearly how much you all care for everything and all of the animals. So thanks for all that you do. And once again before Im out, A huge shout out to your Sister for all that she does for the channel. And everyone at Blakes animal ranch have an amazing and safe New years Eve and thanks for another video.

Blake, I wholeheartedly agree with your responses to the critiques you received. The weather in Florida was devastating even to tanks with heaters in my home, not to mention our surrounding natural waterways! Mother Nature has her way when it comes to life, abundance, and death! PERIOD! Your transparency is clear! The good, the bad, the beautiful, and the ugly are all part of our daily life! I am very happy, that the rest of the aviary and all the other animals were spared. The pain we all feel when we lose our pets is tragic, but it is also our reality! THANK YOU FOR SHARING!!!

Hey.. He could've just cleaned them up and not told ANYBODY. So i appreciate that you are bold enough to take us on that journey of the good AND the bad! I live on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.. and there was RECORD BREAKING COLD recently. NOBODY expected it! So my man.. don't worry what negative things people say! I've seen enough of your videos to know that you really care for these animals! And hey.. the more videos you MAKE.. and the more views you DO GET.. you'll be able to take care of them EVEN BETTER! You're constantly upgrading and trying to raise happy, healthy animals! I raise squirrels.. among other things.. and sometimes unexpected things just happen that are out of your control!! I spoil my animals too lol.. and I can see that in you AND your family! So keep up the good work.. and this is just a learning experience. And he DID SAY that at least these fish will be used in a useful way.. not just thrown away! AND your pond babies look like they've had a FEAST!!

I tell you the last time got that cold in Florida, 1993 because i live here in north Ga. and thats the year of the blizzard that hit is snow drifts from 5 to 7 feet high. But no snow at least like that this time only a dusting if any. Just mainly cold. But south Florida temps was down in the low 30s. Me myself i hope it will be a long long time before this ever happens again, at least not again in my life time, people said that about something you could do, which is silly there were will over 30 people in the USA that was killed from this cold weather we just been though. Keep up the awesome work Blake that i know you will. God bless you and your family. And on a better note i hope you have a Happy New Year....🙏❤🙏❤🙏😊🙂😀

1500 watt drop in heaters can be placed in several areas of the pond. They won't heat the whole pond but will create warm spots. One 1500 watt heater keeps my 300 gallon pond set 82 degrees easily. Or you can use a inline spa heater and a spa/pool pump.

Blake, as a person who grew up on a farm, have people around me with hobby farms, you are doing exactly what I would have done in those conditions! Our high dollar investments are more important than invasive species, feeder fish, even though it's hard to see what the weather can do! Animals pass away, for whatever reason, can not save them all, that's normal on a farm, ranch! What is not normal, is people thinking they can do better, keep a animal alive forever, which is not even reality! I'm just happy to watch a younger person at least attempting to learn animal husbandry, trying to keep God's beautiful creatures alive!

Keep on keeping on Blake I love your videos

Heater suggestion - Here in South Africa a few houses have a system where they pump water via a BLACK pipe that looks like 50mm wide to the very top of the roof, and from that thick pipe that runs along the top of the roof are many fine perpendicular strands of tubing running down into another thick pipe parallel to the first pipe and back in to the pool, this I suppose uses the heat of the sun to heat the water in the fine tubing and collectively sends them back to the pool as warm water, eventually over time the whole pool would be warm. I assume there is no extra equipment needed as it's connected to the pool filtration pump.

@@snowleopard1831 You have never had a bunch of animals, like a farm apparently... When a person owns a farm, the weather causes a person to prioritize in certain situations, and Blake was right in making sure his high dollar investment animals were safe, the free, invasive species, can fend for themselves! It's the same thing as picking your battles, and his battle should be to keep the expensive investments alive! If you think otherwise, you should have helped him with the money, equipment, your time, and went over there personally to remove every feeder fish from the pond! Growing up on a farm, with animals from my area, we still had fatalities during birthing season, weather related! You can not save them all!!!

@@stephaniehalberg8781 The Earth's climate is never constant and always changes whether it is natural or human caused, the problem right now is the rate of change. We are almost entirely responsible for this increasing rate of change and it's already affecting ecosystems worldwide... Also, one volcanic eruption wouldn't put the Earth into an ice age at all... Depending on its VEI, it would lead to a big blanket of dust covering our planet which would lead to a decrease in temperatures (blocking sunlight). But this will only last a few years at max (see Tambora, biggest eruption in human history) after which the dust is rained down.

Wanted to add my 2 cents about the heater …most people don’t under stand that to heat that big of a pond with an open surface is extremely difficult. You’ll need an inline heat that’s around 1-5kw (maybe more ) depending on size of the pond. For something like that you would need to run its OWN 220 electrical to the pond and also add a waterproof box for the heater. The installation process is extremely expensive and that’s not counting the actual cost of running the heater for a week or two. Something’s just are worth the cost

You are doing a great job keep up the good work and don't worry about haters. Maybe try a large heater in the wetland filter to try and take the edge off its all you can do. But most importantly just keep doing what you do!!!!

Would a passive solar heater work? Having a pump, pump water from the pond though a black pipe on a dark surface and back into the pond might help. It would need to be a very long pipe. Also, you could could connect that through a passive solar boiler too. Could even do a combo. Just ideas.

Make an 30 x 30 x 30 inch Under Ground/Water Cave made of Cement & Tiles at the Bottom Half Round Glass where you can peek thru the Cave like a submarine hatch connected to the Pond Near the Toroko Enclosure ... It can be a Bridge where you can walk over but has a maybe 1 feet below the bottom of the Pond Cave Cover height of 6 inches over the Pond and Install a Heater for the Enclose Cave with 2 to 3 inch Entrance underwater connected to the Pond where Fish can Enter it but Ducks and other Birds cannot get in Maybe the Round Glass Hatch will serve are Emergency Exit for Birds or Turtle Getting Trapped in the Cave add 12x 1 inch width Filter on Flood Gate Entrace of the Cave of 1 foot by 2 or 3 inches Height Maybe add a small cistern near the Cave and have another Waterfall Cascading down the Edge towards the Pond

What any of you that are talking about putting heaters in are failing to realize is the movement of water won't carry the heat. And if it does, it's not going to go deep enough where the fish drop down too. It will stay on the surface. Not to mention the wind that came with this storm. I am quite sure that Blake didn't ask for this.. I mean damn.. he wasn't even alive when the last major cold snap hit. It's been 30 years for FL. Things are going to happen. You can't control every aspect of Mother Nature.

there is enough enough water flow in that pond to carry the heat deep enough. like I told Mr word soup 🍲 if you had a good heater the fish would of hung around it and not died. but his excuse is blame nature but he is the one with the invasive fish 🐟 so it is up to him to make the right choice. and he dont do that most the time it don't matter to all the youboobs they will just let all they followers replace it. people tell him the proper way to do stuff but he never does but have a great day.

🤣 @Kevin Wamer I watch the vids because reptiles interest me. I do rescue myself. Everything from domestic, wildlife and reptile.. and have for 25 + years. With the weather snap we just had, he couldn't have done anything. Especially since it was colder than average. It wouldn't have made a difference with a pond that size. If you aren't for this end of the states, you wouldn't get it. But it seems you know it all... So, there is no reason to explain anything to you. There were things that could have been done to smaller enclosures. But not the Aviary pond. You think you are so above everyone else. It's obvious by the "name calling".. So.. You're opinion may matter to some. But others do know what they are talking about also. Stay Blessed..
