​@@michellefalleur960 exactly, "a bit" is putting it mildly. The writing today is really flat, the humour more in-your-face, not so much gallows humour like the 2000s Barlows. It went downhill after the 2010 tram crash and really crashed in the late 2010s.

It was dreadful then. Best days ended early 90s for me. Aside from a few good storylines like Hillman and the Harris'

@eyezj7412 I guess it's also relative to what we remember, 2000s were my teen years so I'm more nostalgic about it. But I do love Blanche's lines, and if you thought the 2000s were dreadful I hope you gave up ages ago as the 2010s were another level.
