I was there at this concert. Growing up on Long Island, I listened to WLIR when they changed their format to "New Wave", "Dare to be Different", etc. Blancmange was one of those bands they played a lot and I couldn't get enough. When they played NYC, I had to go. I was not sorry! It was a great show! Great band.

Freaking awesome!!! I was pining away for bands like this to hear and see not too far away in Philadelphia!

I too grew up on LI with LIR. I saw Living on the Ceiling on MTV in '82 and was wondering where I could hear that type of music. I saw a bumper sticker for WLIR New Music. Tuned into 92.7 and Living on the Ceiling was the first full song I heard!

BY far one of the least mentioned bands when folks speak about synth greats. Such innovative sounds and always energetic. I wish I could see them even now in 2020.

Saw Neil and band in Kildare Ireland a week ago literally. So many 80s bands so he couldn't do the full works as time limited. Said it was nice to be back in Europe. Sure was and he was fantastic!

Wow! Thanks for this! When I was a teenager, new wave was my favorite music and Blancmange was one of my favorite bands. MTV played this concert late at night, but I stayed up and recorded it onto VHS. I had that tape and played it for several years. But it's been decades. I suddenly thought of it and, on a whim, searched KZbin, and voila! THANKS. It's so fun to re-experience these CHEESY 80s video effects. As each one came on the screen, I'd get that "OMG I had totally forgotten about this, but now it's all rushing back" feeling. I enjoy that feeling 😁
