Best advice: Sleep with your arms out above your blankets to regulate your body temperature; That and your lower body can stay covered and you can pull your arms in, whenever you get cold! You could also wear a lightweight jacket... During the Winter or cold nights; Use a Comfy! (It's an oversized hooded blanket)

From what I understand, we lose body heat the easier from hour hands and feet (and not our heads.) That's why having both feet out can make you feel cold. Most of your body heat is leaving you. Also explains why having one foot out might help as well.
