Blargh! LH's Trial Collection - Spelunky Custom Levels

Thanks again for playing! This was pleasant to watch (totally has nothing to do with sadism). Here's my thoughts on the levels: Level 1 This was the first spelunky level I've ever created, so adjusting the difficulty was the hardest part of making it. I didn't want it to be trivial but didn't want it to require 30 minutes to get through. I guess I managed to do it right? This "honor" system is something I didn't really originally planned, I just was unable to think of a way to prevent cheesing. But now I realize it turned out much better thanks to that. Also there's a _nice_ effect of failing more and more at the beginning because you start trying getting through quickly and carelessly, ha! Level 2 Why didn't you kill alien queens with a crysknife? WHY? I didn't even know you could jump over them like that... Also, it's weird how the orange frog timing was so trivial for you, while for me it was the hardest part of the level and I even had thoughts about making it easier. Level 3 HA! Sorry if the level wasn't enjoyable to play, but making a level like that was one of my first ideas for this level pack. I'm glad I didn't make the timer longer and that you weren't forced to look for the solution in the level editor! Level 4 This is probably the worst level in the pack. The scorpion and yeti part was very weak, but at least I'm somewhat proud of the last part with the plasma cannon. Also, you could've disabled the music and make the sounds really loud so you could hear the force field, that's an alternate solution to counting seconds. Level 5 Uuu, you didn't read my messages! Well, there were just the solutions to the stuff in the level, nothing interesting or funny. Also, I am very mad at the fact that you didn't die at the last arrow trap! Level 6 This level was supposed to be hard. Instead of spamming the teleporter, you were supposed to teleport up to keep yourself in a falling loop, and then carefully advance forward. And that was really hard for me to do, that's why I put that message. I was aware of the spamming method but I didn't remove it because -I was lazy- I'm such a nice and forgiving person! Level 7 Ah yes, the exact reaction I was hoping for! I knew you much you like block puzzles so this was designed specifically for you to mentally suffer from looking at it and thinking "ugh, I'll have to do this, won't I...". I don't regret making the first level too difficult. I regret making all other levels easy compared to the first one. Also, your pronunciation of hAik is correct, thank you! Well, it's not supposed to be that stressed but I guess it's better than "Heik"...

13:18 Keys don't open chests unless Paco is holding them! Cheese opportunity, throw the key over the chests!

That is possible, but you have to calculate your throw very carefully, because if the key falls into an area with chests - you're screwed!

Woah, some of this stuff was really creative. I'd never have thought of creating a challenge to not get the udjat eye, or teleporting past flying arrows, kudos to you, Lisa Haik.

Aww sheeeeit, a return to custom levels! That Spelunky knowledge level was impressive... I can see how it could get frustrating for someone less knowledgeable of the 'hidden' mechanics. That push block puzzle had me cracking up. That was custom designed for you and your fans, Blargho. This was a really creative pack, @Lisa Haik! Sorry, "HaIIIIIk." XD

Thanks! All the mechanics are explained in those messages, so it should be fine for someone who doesn't know them. Yeah, push block puzzle was a special treat, ha! Also, I've exhausted all my possible ideas while creating it so unfortunately it's very unlikely that I'll create any more of these.

This would probably give you nothing but in the level 3 you could throw the torch through the hole right before landing into the water. Also this "Lisa Haik" youtube user has one video with voice. And it's male. I bet it's a rather typical 2ch (Russian 4chan analogue) anime linux hikkimori pervert. There are thousands of them.

Even if that's possible, it wouldn't give you anything, yeah. The crushing block is there to take away your stuff (especially the crysknife) when you first enter the level. And the entire purpose of making this level dark was to not let you see the timer in the upper central part of the level.
