The music and sound design for Afilaor is so good. The little flute riffs for the jump attacks and when they're sharpening their sword, and the *tink tink tink!* when his spin attack knocks away the spears they threw at you. So satisfying.

I really love that despite being a busy guy, you can still showcase all 3 weapons in this video. The weapon system in Blasphemous 2 feels so good. It's like an evolved version of what was in Hollow Knight. You don't need to grind to upgrade weapons, all the customisations are already there.

By "similar to HK", I mean an upgrade system that you can alter and customise as you please at any point without wasting time into grinding fest, like in Dark Souls. This is one aspect of HK that I really enjoy and people rarely talk about it, hence the mention.

Honestly i had a lot of doubts when i saw there were multiple weapons, i always prefer a single well done weapon rather than a bunch of "meh" weapons, but i was so surprised to see the combat became even better thanks to it, going from ruego del alba ascending slash to change mid air to veredicto to to the aereal fire ignition feels so satisfying, the same goes when you have veredicto and do a last second swap to parry an incoming attack with another weapon. The best and most fun way to play the boss fights is by constantly changing weapons

After I beat eviterno on my second play through (one achievement got bugged) it felt very easy to beat all bosses.

Upgrade Veredicto and use statues that will give it bonus damage, and also use statues that give you bonuses on Fevour (especially regenerating Fevour while attacking). Use the prayer called Seguiriya to the Memory of your Eyes (located in Profundo Lamento) to stop time for a moment, then use it to give as much damage as you can. It worked for me :)

That seems to be the implication. The High Wills were Absolutely an Impostore deity, they were Born by the prayers for penitence from the people of Custodia, then they usurped the Power of the miracle to get immortality and Power. I believe this second chapter confirms the existence of another divine being, greater than the Miracle, Who Is the One that reawakes the Penitent One and sends Anunciada to help us during the game

The way I read it is that the "High Wills" were just another expression of "the Miracle," albeit slightly more sentient than the others. The "Penitent One" is also an expression of the Miracle. As confirmed by "Incarnate Devotion." It's basically the idea that all things are a part of God.

At 38:21 Anunciada mentions the “High Dramatist” who people on the Discord presume to be the true source of all holiness who sent the Children of Moonlight, Anunciada and the Four Envoys The Miracle fits the Demiurge archetype quite well. A false god who dwells in a false, cold heaven (The Eternal Procession) and is fueled by the misery of mankind. It’s also worth mentioning that it’s also animal-like just like the Gnostic Demiurge as it goes berserk after the High Wills die Yeah this game is just Gnosticism with a coat of Catholic imagery lol

I'm very late to this, but every boss has lore somewhere Orospina, Lesmes and Radames have lore in the 3 main weapon altarpieces. The other bosses have lore in the key items they drop. (Except Afilaor, Can't seem to find lore about him anywhere, He just shows up out of nowhere, proceeds to be one of the best bosses in all of Blasphemous and then gets defeated)

Imo in terms of encounters and boss fights the games difficulty was the same as the firsts but the new tools we get and the facts it was designed to be less frustrating in general. Making it easier. It sort of reminds me of how blasphemous was originally before dlc and updates

They really have to do something about the Seguiriya Prayer. Sure it's a very late game prayer but it makes every single fight afterwards and of possible DLC obsolete because with the right altarpieces you can freeze time indefinitely throughout any boss fight, taking no damage. It's *literally* broken.
