Doing commentary for this was a lot of fun. Reminder that this run would currently take 3rd on the leaderboards, and that's only because David's PB is 3 seconds faster!

Blaster Master was the 3rd NES game I ever owned. Never made it past area 6 back then. Nice to see a run done so masterfully! Awesome work!

Area 5 was stupid hard. Got to Area 7 once, otherwise most runs were done at 5.

I only got through area 6 by accidently learning the boss grenade pause glitch on the boss. Got Wall 2 trolled in the spike rooms in Area 8 though, and never got to the final boss before playing on emulator years later...

The was one of the first games I ever owned, think I was 4 or 5 when I started playing it. Shaped my taste in games forever, it was Metroidvania before that was even a thing. It was ruthlessly hard.

I played this game so much as a kid. Never owned it, must've been from when I was carted around by my parents to boring visits to their friends who had it. Never got past that damn green door creature thing at the very beginning. Seeing it crushed is... satisfying.

That last boss reminds me of the one boss from Fester's Quest. I know it's the same company that makes each, but it's fun to see characters cross from game to game.

I loved watching you kill those stupid 8 machines that make up the level 3 boss. I would always end up chasing the last 2 or 3 around the room. Also pretty funny how you turned the level 5 crab boss into a mechanical box that you fight in an adjacent room. Yall are crazy lol

hello my name is jose, I am a lover of the blaster master, I have a question: can these plays be made in the American game? It is what I have and I spend in 49min expensive picking up weapons and without glich from what I see the Japanese version is easier. good game and thanks for reading my comment forever blaster master nes.. love this songs

Many of the glitches showcased are not possible on the US release, US and EU releases have their own slew of bugs and glitches though, with EU's being exceptionally abusable and powerful

Since there are so many differences between the US and Japanese version shouldn't the title reflect that?

“Metroidvania” games existing 2 generations before Symphony of the night ever existed, which was the name used to describe that particular game, is why the phrase needs to die.
@Animebryan24 жыл бұрын
No it doesn't, nor does SoN have anything to do with that! Both the original Metroid & Castlevania had a fully connected, explorable world which is what the name refers to.
@syrelian Жыл бұрын
@@Animebryan2 Uhhh, no it didn't, the original Castlevania was a linear side-scrolling platformer, Castlevania 2: Simon's Curse, however had an explorable world similar to what you describe Everyone however does attribute this genre phrase to SotN
