I've Never had so much fun playing Blazblue in my LIFE. As someone who has a bad pc, I was usually stuck playing against CPU and Combo Trials. I agree, really didn't know I'd like it this much. Been mainly spending my time with mb type lumina and some kof kof98ufme but bb is gonna wedge its way in for sure. Every character is unique and fun looking. I want to play them all. Three days, lots of reading watching playing and I still can't decide. But I've been happy every minute! Just another little pinch of regret for not getting into fighting games earlier lol, but at least we're all lucky enough to have all this at our fingertips these days!

Watched a vid of yours where you did all the supers on relius and played against shinku in I think the beta where he played as Susanoh when he wasn't supposed to. After that I was hooked with your channel, your passion, attitude, community, and you yourself. Hakumen is the worst character to start with because he has no input buffers. He plays like an sf4 character with strict jab to medium combos.

There's an accessibility input mode called "Stylish" that trivializes specials by enabling an extra button for them a la Smash, but AFAIK there's no in-game one-button dash, and I don't know if making a macro outside of the game would get you nicked by the BBACP (BlazBlue Anti-Cheat Police).

Not so much about the rollback, but the characters. Any recommendations? I'm stuck between Es, Bullet, Izanami, Litchi, Nine and Terumi. The obvious choices would be Es or Nine, right? But for some reason, I always find myself crawling back to try and learn Izanami and Bullet although I can't seem to learn any of their combos.

I'm having a really hard time in challenge mode with noel (mission 5) trying to do combos and get the correct inputs, and this is supposed to be easy. A bit sad since I have around 60 hours in the game.

What system is your controller made for? Make sure you have that enabled in general controller settings instead of just generic. Also make sure it's not something dumb like a dual DirectInput/XInput controller having the switch in DirectInput mode.

Basically this game brought in rollback netcode. Older games have terrible lag for people not in your general area. Things like input delay and game slowing to a crawl are major issues. Rollback allows for reduced lag such that many feel it is like it is playing locally. This makes online viable to play to many. Second blazblue is a beloved old niche game. As games get older the people online playing gets fewer. This addition has brought old players and some newer gamers and so what was maybe a handful is now many, so matches are more frequent helping to increase fun. Also international online is less laggy better with this further expanding the people you can play since previous

Now someone needs to do this for CSE and CPE. BBCF despite its merits makes me REALLY angry at how they threw balance out the window a bit more with how they changed invalid combos to have only a damage penalty instead of hitstun decay, and what changes they did to some of the characters (such as nerfing Bang harder and removing Belial Edge from Ragna). CSE and CPE were honestly peak BlazBlue balance-wise, but ofc people ignore those just for the latest installment no matter how awkward it is.
