Not the same drive. They have very similar fates. Making their "aura" (not a thing in lore, if I remember correctly, just referring to what "gut feeling" most characters have when meeting both of them) feel very similar.

I got a few questions because I'm not knowledgeable on Blazblue lore: -What's up with Rachel's reaction to Naoto? -Why's Arakune afraid of Celica? -*Why did Nu destroy my ears over Naoto?* -*What exactly did Amane do to Carl, I am afraid......*

Let's see: - Naoto's existance on this world is way too similar to Ragna's, if he were to stay too much on this world he may replace him. That's why Rachel rejects him so much. -Celica has a special ability that can nullify all seithr around her(the magic element), and Arakune is a being created from pure seithr. Same happens with Hazama and Ragna(who are incapable of using the BlazBlue) and Terumi, who came from the boundary. -Nu hates Naoto because the same reason as Rachel. Though she really intends to kill him, different from Rachel who only wants to send him back to his world. -Amane does nothing to Carl(I don't think so?), he searches for pretty boys around the world in order to integrate them on his troupe. I'm afraid he wants to turn him into a trap as well... Na I don't think so.

Ragna's intro line is more like "Just choose whoever", he says "適当" which is basically just a word used for whimsicality, so the line is more or less him just saying "Just pick whoever you want" in a very nonchalant manner
