It turns out that Toshimichi Mori is a huge fan of RWBY, and Monty Oum had been a big fan of BlazBlue, so the addition of RWBY into Cross Tag Battle was in large part a tribute to Monty. He always wanted to see his characters in a fighting game.

While RWBY has even worse writing than Sword Art Online, I still love just turning my brain off to enjoy the series, and since Ruby is absolutely adorable (and I pray that new main character of the Show Jaune I didn't save Pyrrha because I didn't do what Ozpin asked but then immediately put the blame on Ruby's Uncle when he had probably the least out of the council to influence her to make the decision Arc doesn't make it in the game) and She needs the spotlight when her show was stolen by Jaune clearly evidenced by Miles' poor writing habits.

Well the main problem with dubs is that they're made by unprofessinal people, and what do you think? Most of main roles in RWBY voiced by people who did not have any experience being voice actors(in contrast, japanese dub is pretty much made by professionals), and it's VERY obvious when you watch first 2 volumes, but to be fair by this point they're good enough

To all you guys complaining about how the game bears the name BlazBlue: You do realize that it's most likely that the in-universe event that allowed this very crossover to occur in the first place would be a Continuum Shift or some other BlazBlue phenomenon, right? I mean, aside from the continuum shift, I can't think of another phenomenon off the top of my head from any of the other three main series that would enable the sort of spacetime shenanigans needed for such a crossover to occur. There's also the fact that the majority of the playable cast would likely be BlazBlue characters, especially if they use the entire BB roster as of Centralfiction. Just saying.
