Hi Jim, thanks a lot for the very precise overview! I would be interested on the LTE 5-burners but I have an important doubt to solve before I buy it. Could you please let me know if this grill allows low and slow cooking as well, around 230-240F for 6-8hr? I am sure it works great at high temperature with this special burners, but I am not sure If I can use it as a kind of smoker as well. I would use it with 1 or 2 burners on for indirect cooking, as well as for searing steaks of course. Thank you so much in advance for your feedback! Mattia

Hey Mattia.... this grill is capable of low and slow cooking but, while very versatile, it’s not meant to be used as a smoker. The Blaze smoker box accessory will certainly help achieve the flavor you’re going for, however, if you like “real” smoke flavor I would suggest a Blaze kamado, used with the stainless steel heat deflector accessory. That being said, if you want to stick with the LTE gas grill, the low flame adjustment (located under each knob) is a huge benefit when cooking at low temps. Hope that helps. Thanks for your comment.

Hi Jim, thank you so much for the details! Sure I understand we cannot compare it with a real smoker but I am happy to hear I can use different cooking styles, I will go for it! Just to cross check, is the same comment valid for the Pro or is it valid for the LTE only? I did not see the flame adjuster on the Pro and I guess it is too powerful for slow and low, but wanted to get your professional opinion first. Thanks again Jim!

@mattiamarelli437 did you end up getting the Blaze LTE? If so, how do you like it and how has it stood up so far?

@@aaronolsen8787 thank you for your question! I ended up buying the Blaze PRO! I really like it, I am surprised about the different temperature I can get with it, I am able to sear and go low and slow at 220. There is nothing I would change, I would like to get a spring hood assistance but I am pretty confident this will come in the next version soon 🙂

Thinking about purchasing the Blaze Prelude. Where would this model fall? Closer to the LTE or the Pro?
@grillingwithjimbo11 ай бұрын
The prelude (LBM) is very similar to LTE. It’s basically a simplified version of it. Here’s a quick breakdown…. kzbin.info/www/bejne/m2OXf52Do7KCo8ksi=3QofTJ9mWPjAf3QX

Nice looking grill, though it looks like a summerset knockoff or at least comes from the same factory in China. Is the 443 steel that much better for longevity or in a salt air environment?
@grillingwithjimbo3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your questions…. I love this stuff. The body of the summerset grills looks similar but they are completely different animals, especially on the inside. The 443 is a stronger stainless and protects the components from warping under extreme heat. The Pro series is all 304 stainless, but is a heavier gauge, so we are still able to offer the lifetime warranty. As far as a salt air environment, I would suggest our 32” marine grade grill. It’s made of 316L stainless steel (throughout), which is much more corrosive resistant. That being said, nothing is rust proof. A little love and maintenance goes a long way.

Is there a griddle insert available for the professional 32?

Not at the moment. Honestly, it's something that come up from time to time but no immediate plans for one right now.

I have this grill but no searing burner. Can I turn on the left burner to high and accomplish similar results by leaving it on just a bit longer than 2 min each side? Is there enough room for 4 steaks of that size cooked at the same time?
@grillingwithjimbo3 жыл бұрын
As far as searing, I haven’t had a problem using the main, stainless steel burners. You can use any, or all, stainless steel burners to achieve this so 4 steaks isn’t a problem. Plenty of room. I would suggest preheating for at least 20-30 minutes. Get that grill hot, hot, hot. I’ve never been disappointed with the results. However, for a deep, steakhouse style sear, nothing beats a legit sear burner. But remember, if you use a ceramic sear burner, you can only use one, per grill. They get too hot otherwise. Try it with the main burners. If you need more, think about that sear burner.

Hi Jim, we bought the 4 burner LTE grill and ordered the infrared searing burner but it didn’t work. When turned on it made a loud whistling noise as if it was getting too much air. We called bbq guys and was told to exchange it because it was faulty. Which we did with no problem but the problem persisted with the new infrared searing burner. We returned that one as well. I really wanted that infrared burner. Any idea what went wrong?

Hello Andrea... Sorry for the inconvenience. There could be a couple things going on. My suggestion would be to give Blaze customer service a call so they can troubleshoot with you, in real time. 866-976-9510. They try to answer, in person, within the first few rings. If not, they'll call you back ASAP. We're heading into the spring season so the phones are starting to get a little crazy over here. We'll figure it out. Thanks for leaving a comment.
