yeah i don't like the chain cap i have an asg pocket torch and it has a flick open cap made of metal like the top body, also did you know you can adjust the flame or gas low or higher from the fill valve? does yours have a flame adjustment lever because you did not show that? btw the cheap lighter looks good enough for me

How long did it last you? How many years ?

I still have it and it still works. I had trouble one time with it when I used an almost empty gas canister and it got too much pressurized air in it. I cleaned it and now it still works. Not always first time light but it still works. I have to say though I'm not a smoker so I don't use it daily

@@DutchBushcraftKnives Noted. Thanks a lot for the feedback my friend. I am a heavy cigar smoker and I am tired of lighters failing on me. So I am looking for something reliable. Thanks again

Damn, that flame is beast... at this point i gotta admit to being a smoker, so i always have a lighter on me, even just a trip to the local store means i got a lighter or 5.. If i look for a dependable flame source its always a zippo. But i think the best i found for an EDC for a non smoker is the little peanut petrol lighters. They dont have the jet flame of these lighters but they hold fuel for a very long time, they are water resistant, tiny and they just work. and work and work. i have opened one of these after 2 years and it still had fuel.

+pai pai Those peunut petrol lighters look cool! They would fit nicely in a small edc emergency kit or a small survival tin. I have a zippo rip of but it loses fuel quite fast. I don't know if the fuel in a zippo will evaporate just as fast as in my rip of. However I really like the classic touch the zippo's have and I don't mind their smell but for outdoor uses this torch is most versatile I think.

Is it meant to be an outdoor lighter or a cigar lighter? It looks good, just can't tell what its purpose build for...

It is meant as the beast of all pocket torches. Small lightweight safe and reliable also it is made to be an industrial heat tool (precise flame capable of being locked on for a few minutes.) As opposed to no more than 30 seconds on others.

Mooi spul!

@DutchBushcraftKnives
@DutchBushcraftKnives 7 жыл бұрын

You can buy butane-gas and refill it at the bottem (IIRC). Note: Do not cheap out on the gas. cheap gas will not be pure butane!

Gas goes through the bottom. It has no battery. It creates a spark using a stone and a hammer.
