As a Swede it's kind of funny hearing people talk about the Mora as a high quality knife. Here Mora knives are cheap working knives and often swapped for a new one instead of sharpening and taking care of them. You find them rattling around in tool boxes, used as emergency screw drivers and basically for anything where you can use something knife shaped even if it's for spreading painters putty. When it's dull it's cheap to replace costing between $5 to $10 at a local store. And yes this is actual knives made by the company Morakniv in Mora. Now I did take a look and a Classic No. 2 costs about $25. This knife is made in the same way that the first knives manufactured by the company back in the early 17'th century, Just with modern steel and machines. Now you can also go for the Classic King's Knife. It's basically the same as the Classic No.2 but with a Stainless steel blade and curly birch handle. It's hand made and costs about $160 Never thought about Mora making knives like that.

All the versions I’m seeing is 4116 steel. Where did you find the 5160?

The 5th knife IMO should be a folding saw like a Silky Gomboy. Less effort in processing wood in cross cutting, than chopping. It's also good at throwing spark.

Actually, the FinnBear has a very shallow hollow grind, but I guess getting rid of the secondary bevel did make it convex. Pendelton lite hunter is also a good budget option.

Mora 106 and Mora 120 are cheap carving knives, and they're actually really good. I would love to see what you guys think about it!! Also, if you want something tactical, check out the TKell knives. The TKell Nightstalker is sick. Anyway, love the videos as always, you guys rock!

With knives like this I always wonder about the tang but judging by the batoning it seems strong enough. I like the Puukko style and even the higher saber grind. No fingerguard is better with food prep mostly on a cutting board. I might try one for my next overseas backpacking trip.

Great video that knife looks amazing and I would actually consider picking one up for that price. I'd love to see you guys check out a Grohmann knife, specifically the original #1 or the #3 Army knife. The #3 was the Canadian military or "jump knife" for many years.

Knives with blade that thin are never intended for tasks like batoning. Your tests only proved Morakniv's excellent quality.
