So many comedic legends were in this movie. Every one of Mel Brooks’ movies became an instant classic. Each one is genius, and stands the test of time for being consistently witty, sharp and funny. ❤❤❤

In my humble opinion, Blazing Saddles is, not just the funniest movie ever made, but the funniest movie that will ever be made. Mel Brooks is a genius.

none of this is "news" to anybody who has watched any of the many documentaries about making that film... and therefore NONE of this has been hidden as the clickbait title suggests...

Many of these facts are wrong, Mel was going to use Pryor because he was a huge part of writing the movie. but after having issues with cocaine and missing call times, Mel had no choice to replace him.
