This compact tractor from Kioti is set up to be a land clearing machine. With a grapple and a brush hog, the Kioti CK2610 has been able to handle any clearing job I've thrown at it. And, as you can see in this video, I have put it through the ringer.
Make sure you watch to the end to see one of the largest trees in our forest come down.
I am pumped to partner with @kiotitractor to bring you this video. Although Kioti is sponsoring this video, I chose my Kioti CK2610 tractor for very good reasons and paid for it with my own, hard-earned cash. I'm thrilled with my Kioti tractor, so the partnership is a natural fit.

Great job and have taken down half a dozen large dying pines. Have used the CK3520 to put a little pressure on one with ropes pulling with come alongs. Use the backhoe a lot to drag out large logs, and my grapple to move and place cut timbers where I want them. Super helpful and just love my Kioti. Am digging drainage trenches for channel drains, french drains and and catch basins on our property. Bought a subsoiler as well to bury cable as well. Have a box blade of coming tomorrow and use my Titan pallet forks to grab the pallet off the tractor trailer. I'm at just over about 35 hours on mine. Thank you for posting and be safe and productive with your 2610.

That went pretty well. Good you got out of the way, that branch had your name on it.

Ive been watching how you use your Kioti. I wonder if a flail mower would do better at your trails there. I'm considering moving to Texas myself, so I'm learning from guys like you.

Only been dead for a year??? Seems like it’s been dead or dying at least for a while longer than that. Curious why you let your brush cutter drag around when not in use and why you didn’t use the brush cutter for all that clearing instead of using the grapple.

Ditch the brush cutter and switch to a medium or HD flail mower with hammer blades. More expensive but much more effective and versatile. Also is closer to the tractor which aids in maneuverability.

I’ve rented a Kubota mini excavator to help knock down some pines and it’s always fun.

That sounds like my idea of fun, too. I'm sure that machine makes quick work of it.

108 sounds miserable. My saws won’t start above 80 degrees lol. That said they’ve been running a lot lately the weather has finally cooled off here in Alabama. Nice work getting the tree down safely. Take care.

For sure. Thankfully, it's starting to cool down here in Texas, too. Thanks, Ben!

I actually bought this wedge pouch on eBay. I think that it was made by Amish people if I remember right.

We have 75 hours on our 2610 now and it’s been solid so far. That’s a shame to loose that tree but it should make excellent firewood

I'm glad to hear you're enjoying your tractor, too. And, yes, firewood is definitely an upside to losing that big oak.
