@@perrymason8471 I never finished that arc. But if I had to guess... I'd say it's probably because his father barely trained him until this point in the story? I mean, Ichigo is in a similar boat, but he also got in 3 entire training arcs at this point and Soul Reaper / Hollow powers are both set up in a way where leaping up a power level is possible. Quincy powers don't usually have that same power boost from what I remember, at least not until the final arc. (Which I didn't read enough to find out the Quincy powers, so for all I know they suddenly got their own version of zanpakuto powers)
