Personally I'm not surprised it's #1. It was heavily advertised w the game, because it's the game's theme essentially they had to make sure it was good, and it's the only song with vocals in the whole game.

While the song is never played in the game, I loved Sakura and Elise's koto and violin duet. If you remember in support conversations, they said that they were going to do a small showcase of them playing together. Taking that extra step, there is a song compiled of a violin and koto, representing Elise and Sakura playing as a duet.

Imo, the battle version of alight is really good, the non battle version isn't. On the other hand both versions of a dark fall works really well cause just the non battle version alone keeps you on your toes as you try to take down hoshido and the battle version just makes it so intense sounding of trying to get through such a tough fight that you may very well not wanna do in the first place, and thus fits conquest so well.

Blazing Knight, what happened... Seriously this is probably the biggest mess up i think you've ever made. Thorn in You does NOT play during Chapter 26: Treason. It plays during All 3 versions of the branch of fates and during Conquest chapter 25 and Birthright chapter 26...The Battles with Ryoma and Xander! Seriosuly, how do you mess that up. The name refers not to Hans and Iago, but to the choice Corrin makes and how people he loves suffer no matter which route he takes, which had the added bonus of it not showing up in revelation for this very reason. I admit this is probably angering me more than it should because Thorn in you is easily my favorite Fates soundtrack, but come on.

Leo and Sakura's conversation has great character development, and Ophelia and Hisame's has all the trademarks of a manga/anime romance(which I have no shame in admitting that I like. A LOT.) XD

Lost in the Waves is actually my favorite song in Fates. Yes, it's still technically End of All, just Shigure's version of it, but I just love it so damn much! ^_^ Which is why I was so disappointed that Matthew Mercer had to back out of Animate Florida this weekend, cause goddammit, I wanted to meet him! Assassin was already a class that used Swords in most FE games and Swords and Bows in Awakening but was replaced by Master Ninja in Fates the Warrior class from many past games uses Axes and Bows Witch is a DLC class in Fates and in FE2 that uses Tomes Recruit was a class in FE8 that could promote into Knight/Cavaliers Journeyman is a villager style class that uses Axes in FE8

there are only a couple songs that I can name by name that I liked of the soundtrack but I felt the thing as whole was really REALLY GOOD at sucking me into the game I was there, man! the better songs I actually take me out of the game to enjoy the song (which I'll admit I don't consider a bad thing) the songs that did it for me were: (Okay wow it took me over an hour to find my 3DS just so I could look in the Records Hall at the names.) Prelude to disaster (just the perfect creeping speed for a creepy song) Condemnation (a fun upbeat Irish Jig for no reason? I can dig it!) and What can you do? (you are garenteed a funny support conversation when this song plays... it's not quite as good as "The Vaike never forgets he just doesn't always remember either"

Thorn in You is also played in Chapter 6 and in Conquest Chapter 25 and I'm surprised you didn't talk about that song in relation to those chapters as arguable they work much better considering Thorn in You is basically this games version of Don't Speak Her Name. Awesome video! Fates had some pretty amazing music, I had trouble just picking my castle theme! This could use a top 50! I also love lost in thoughts all alone, but it was a bit annoying when everyone was singing it in the halls at lunch everyday... I still love it, but when people are singing it horribly that often it kinda ruined the song for me XD. At least it was better than them singing let it go...

Yeah, I have about 5 friends who play fire emblem so our small group takes up the one small hall at our school. They all jumped on the band wagon when Awakening came out. There's also others who play it because we always get random avatars on spot pass.

Hoshido's theme is Shine in the Light or Past Light. Pleasure Capital is actually the Cyrkensian theme music. It sounds sort of similar to the Japanese-inspired Hoshidan music but it was actually based on Middle Eastern music.

I don't think I heard Einshi at any point in the official games, I thought that was a custom song that FE:Beyond Fates Made to go with his video, then again I never saw Sakura and Elise's Support conversation so maybe it's hidden there somewhere? Also I'm a bit surprised that Alight (Storm) and No Justice (Calm) weren't on your list, but it is your opinion. Good Job dude. Not sure if DLC Songs count or not, but Clash of Pride (Roar) is one of my personal favorites too.

Another thing, I think Vanity Judge and Knowledge are 'neutral' songs, like Thorn in You, since I unlocked them when I beat Birthright, and I'm assuming you beat Conquest first. Anyway, good list!

I'm so glad you put Enishi on this list. The blending of the koto and the violin are lovely, and of course it was great to hear it after the sweet support conversation between Sakura and Elise.
