aside from dragon ball, last few anime games have been for series with small cast of characters. mha, jjk. naruto had 100+ for connections. i dont see why a big 3 series would have a small roster. Though 50+ would be enough to have all relevant characters on roster

It's got about 3 years in the oven, since it's based on that new TYBW anime style and they announced it back in 2021. They might only add the MAIN characters from the story atp whereas heat the soul gave us fan service and didn’t skimp. Heat the soul 7 had a wonderful roster but I don’t see that happening with this game. I feel like its gonna be the main cast, the main espada, and the main captains. Sprinkle in some lieutenants and maybe shinji and hiyori

Honestly even if we OPTIMISTICALLY asked for 40 (much less then this), we'd still be strapped for slots Main 4 friend group (x2-3 versions each) =8-12 12 captains 7 or so co captains plus auxilary unita 10 espada Non-shinigami units x7 or so (vizards, urahara, yoruichi, etc) is already 44+

Definitely some wishful thinking here, I highly doubt they will add extremely minor characters such as Jinta and Ururu in there. I also highly doubt they will give us all the vizards maybe just the main ones like Shinji, Kensei and whoever. Im also not too sure about the privaron espadas.. they're much more likely to be added over Jinta and Ururu due to them actually being able to have a full fleshed out moveset and moves but again I dont think they will add them. As for Ashido.. ye-no. He aint gonna be in the game.

This sounds about right and I think we should expect the bare minimum for character choices. Me and Legacy just put together a Roster prediction on stream and we came out to 40 base roster, with like 30+ characters that we’re skeptical of cause of importance/lack of moves/would only be story bosses. I think the base roster shouldn’t have any surprising skipped characters and have characters we wouldn’t expect the mid tier Arrancars from the Fake Karakura Town fight. Great prediction vid, hope the roster is something like this.

we will be extremely lucky if we get anywhere close to that number of characters. I'm expecting a lot less. Yachiru could get a character if the sequel covers TYBW but she did nothing up to where this game goes up to so i sincerely doubt her and characters like her are getting in. Ukitake has got 1 move he can do he's more likely to be part of shunsui's moveset than by himself. And even super minor characters that still did something are probably not making it, like pesche and dondochakka. That aside this is pretty close to an ideal roster of mine but there are some missing. For example Edrad defo deserves to be there over like jinta or even shawlong.

Considering that Rebirth of Souls is confirmed to only cover the Substitute til the Arrancar Arc, I think we're only getting characters up to that point and not characters introduced in Hueco Mundo, Fake Karakura and Fullbringer which will probably be in the sequel. Which I hope it does.

The arrancar arc encapsulates all of these "micro arcs." Invasion, Hueco Mundo and Fake Karakura are all part of the arrancar arc. Idk how many characters the roster is going to have, but you can see a frame where Ichigo uses his hollow mask recreated from his last fight against Ulquiorra in the trailer, and that's FKT.

I hope this game has gameplay as similar to Naruto Storm or rather to Kimetsu no Yaiba Hinokami Chronicles but given that there are more techniques in Bleach I wouldn't be surprised if it had the skills menu from Dragon Ball Xenoverse, Kakarot or Sparking Zero to being able to do techniques easily in battle, parry and other things

While I would love a lot of characters, they already showed the 4 characters I want to play most Ichigo (obviously, he's the main dude), Rukia, Yoruichi, and Kisuke I feel a better comparison for the roster of a game like this may be Burning Blood as it's from one of the big 3 like Bleach, and also a more modern (tho not as modern) arena fighter compared to Storm 1)

Nah bro some of these slot predictions are pretty far fetched in my opinion. Dondochaka, Uruuru AND Jinta??, and side character arrancar all have no reason to use up development time for a game that is seemingly such high quality. As for all the other characters, I’d love to see them in the game eventually as DLC, but the roster definitely is not gonna be gargantuan as launch. The people are going to need a full TYBW DLC down the line 🙏🙏🙏
