I’m so excited that they finally incorporated the game aspect of his Shikai as a mechanic. Every other game has always focused more on kageoni and bushogoma, so its nice to see they took the time to get creative with his other abilities

My favorite captain from the line up we see at the start of the series. His play style is quite accurate to the way he actually fights since Shunsui was always the type that likes to stay on you without giving the opponent any breathing room. Take your eyes off him and it's lights out with a blade through your chest. Safe to say you'll want to sit down and learn how to play this guy. The buff his Shikai games like Kageoni and Takaoni will offer should be worth it.

Honestly, while I do think Ukitake will get added in the base game, I’d probably not be too inclined to play him. Mainly cuz he gets done so dirty in the source material to where it feels like a lot of his potential is squandered, not even mentioning that we don’t see his Bankai.

If you are wondering what the children's games are, here are them - a Hot potato-esque game where one person will have the "potato" however he cannot take dmg as the potato takes it, if the wielder hits some they transfers the potato. If you have the potato at the end of the game (after the potato has too much dmg or after some time) you take all the accumulated dmg that the potato has will be dealt to you. - a King of the hill game where there will be an area in the map highlighted and if you are not in that area you will take dmg - a signal will be given and the first person who lands an attack will win and gain an attack power increase until the next children game, if you attack before the signal is given you lose the children's game

I hope his Shikai works on a timer. Like, there are 5 or so abilities (games) and which one he can use and when is decided by an RNG timer. You get this ability for 30 seconds, and now this one for 2 minutes, now this one for 45 seconds. Something like that would perfectly capture the helplessness of his shikai. Of Katen Kyokotsu taking you by the hand and pulling you along
