This cour didn’t disappoint with extra editions. The big players had their respective time to shine. Uryu was the star of this season from beginning to the end. Now he rejoined his friends. Everyone and everything is in place for the end of the world and final battles. RIP Jushiro, you had soul society’s back to the bitter end.

Haven't they already started on production of cour 4 already? pierrot film studios were formed with the intention of coming out with high-quality anime in a less time iirc, the quality is top notch, and I'm confident we won't have an unreasonable wait time. I only hope we have more content to look forward to when tybw is completed.

Kubo never said that the Antithesis is the reason Uryu survived the Auswahlen. On Klub someone asked why Uryu survived the Auswahlen and if it had to do with Soken, ans Kubo said that this might be included in the anime so he would not answer this here. So that is very exciting. Definitely something that will be revealed in Cour 4.

38:45 This is kinda ironic considering you praised Murata for the storyboarding of episode 27 🤣and to be fair episode 40 had less runtime to work with since its the "extra" but it somehow managed to flow better than episode 39 because Murata knows how to let scenes sink in, while episode 39 had wierd edits and abrupt scenes all over the places so maybe Itoko Nagai is the weakest link on the staff or they had too little time to think out how to put all the scenes together. They honestly need to fix some of those scenes in the blu-ray I have never seen an anime having so much production issues when it comes to editing and how some of the cuts logically follows through. It only needs a few extra seconds to let the scenes breath.

Again I enjoyed Yoruichi getting into combat. Also liked the dynamic she shared with her brother and that little praise she gave him. He learned and mastered Shunko and did so apparently quickly with little difficulty while it took Yoruichi and Soifon extensive time/effort.

What I liked about the final 2 episodes or this cour in General The small details where they would shower where every character is, made a difference in comparison to the manga where some characters like Soi Fon, Kensei and Rose disappeared and were never seen again. And just getting a glimpse where everyone was on the map, Rangiku, Hanataro and Hitsugaya moving towards the battlefield, now when they show up we won't be surprised like where they spawned from. Shinji removing the captain's haori and going Vizard (Implying that they really can't use hollow powers as captains because of their respect for Yamamoto ) Shinji showing that he's not mid tier captain, pulling a 90s level kido without incarnation was a flex. Momo doing more in 10 seconds than she's ever done on the whole show. If Kubo worked with the anime from day one with these kind of ideas, Bleach would probably never have so many potholes.

Whoa, yeah, she did something to help uryu. You see a blue light activate above her while she's holding uryu in the waters reflection. It almost looks like a smaller version of a vollstandig wing, but it's tough to make out in that reflected image.

7:25 byakuya was in bankai, not shikai. And Gérard does say that they all beat him nit just renji and Byakuya. But this goes to show how powerful Squad zero are. Sealed shikai Senjumaru fought a base vollstandig Gérard and actually easily overpowered him in hand to hand combat. And Askin is ridiculously powerful. The fact that people think askin would be one-shot by yamamoto is hilarious. Askin is fast and durable enough to take on true shikai ichigo and yoruichi in her thunder god form. He even speed blitzed her

This cour was great, but the last two episodes were alright. Some things were wrapped up too quickly in the last two, and I would have loved to see more. But they delivered. Renji v Uryu was phenomenal. It's wrong, but I want more. I want more surprises.

I think Uryu and Ryuken have a strained relationship because 1. Ryuken did the autopsy (rightfully) 2. Uryu might have used antithesis on his mother by mistake

Seriously, most reviewers or anime watchers just take Askin's lightly and do not understand at all what "the death dealing" really is. Even so many interactions and literal exposition from him , they could not comprehend how broken the ability is. Like some people hate character telling his/her ability during the fight , but let's say Askin just keep his mouth shut , i bet people will definitely not understand at all cause it's very internal thing and not just as simple as poisoning. For the situation when Uryu vs Ichigo again. Just like what Shunsui said previously , in the midst of battle , both sides rely heavily on reiatsu sensing instead of seeing with physical eyes. So , basically ichigo imbued the small zanpakto with his reiatsu , making it as body double in the smoke. And i believe , ichigo also can 'cover up' his reiatsu trace while moving just like an arrancar

Agree. I'm not a fan of Askin but he's one of those characters that if taken lightly will bodied you.

I'll do you a step further. Ichigo is embodying White imo, he has been since Irazusando. I believe he's using a fusion of Sonido + Bringer Light in one(think about it). That's why he initially blitzed the Bambis'. Remember, Flash Step, Hirenkyaku, and even Bringer Light use reiatsu but the production of the movement is different. Flash Step emits it, Hirenkyaku gathers it underneath your feet, and Bringer Light is sort of like Hirenkyaku but comes from within. I dont think it can passively be felt by those who aren't Fullbringers.

These 2 episodes did something for me that Bleach haven't been able to for over 10 years. They made me feel some type of ways toward Yoruichi. She is absolutely stunning. Late to the party but I finally get it :)) Don't know why but I feel like watching the beginning of cour 4 rather than climax of cour 3. It's fine either way. I also peeked at the teaser for cour 4. Hype! I'd be mad funny if they announce cour 4 airing right after New Year (they won't, lol)

Carpet ichigo actually makes a lot of sense because Ichigo has so much Reiatsu that Askinn can beat him easily through reishi poisoning This would also work on Aizen aswell just that Aizen could just overpower this ability Via Hogyoku because Hogyoku can do anything

That's counterintuitive. It was necessary to show how op Askin was. That he wasn't just a mere pawn. Of course Ichigo was on another level if it's raw powers. It's akin to Supes having weaknesses like Kryptonite that could kill him and him being susceptible to magic.

I definitely think that Uryu will be unaffected by yhwachs powers like the almighty because he was struck by auswalen as well as his mother and he had survived it. After surviving it he had that still silver inside of him and now he drank yhwachs blood, thus making him immune to the effects of the almighty.

I feel like the Uryu blood subplot is gonna be similar to the True Zangetsu theories. Ichigo has Old Man Zangetsu, who is the physical embodiment of his quincy powers, he has a direct tie to Ywach's blood through manifestation, same with Uryu through drinking Ywach's blood to become a Sternritter. Both of them have his blood in one form or fashion. Uryu was struck by the auswhalen, so he should in theory have stil silver as well. Ichigo, through manifesting Old Man Zangetsu into a zanpakuto, in theory, should also have stil silver, the blade itself could be made of it for all we know (through Old Man's own power; he both is and isnt Ywach, as he says himself). However, neither of them have a way of activating that silver to affect Ywach, that I can even theorize. The closest I can think of is that True Tensa Zangetsu, using Ichigo's hollow reiatsu can access the silver from Old Man's side to disable Ywach, and thats why he breaks it to prevent its use (just a theory, i know fate manipulation could be a possibility as well). But either way, both Ichigo and Uryu COULD have both blood and silver, but without a way to refine or activate the silver, its just any other metal.

I think the anime did not yet absolutely changed Uryu's entire plan since Uryu still retained his line of "destroying Warwhelt alongside Ywach". Like Uryu's plan still involves having to destroy Warwelt and the not yet explained red portal thing might be a new addition to expand on this. Since in the episode the gate of the sun is confirmed to be different from the Red portal thing since uryu said the gate of the sun was "5 floors below" and as seenin the episode the red portal thing was floors above them.

no the ichigo and askin scene is terrible and it need to be called that. that scene service no purpose except making ichigo looks weak and incompetent as if we didn't do that enough this cour. we already know askin is strong we didn't need to show more of that especially on the expense of the mc, his showcase with the zero squad, Yoruichi and her brother is more than enough to show ho strong he is. all that scene did was making ichigo look bad and that's all it did. I thought the anime team was aware enough not to show this scene considering how bad it is but I guess I gave them too much credit . honestly the way kubo wrote ichigo after the blade is me is criminal to say the least. he completely fumbled his mc and it hurts a lot when you remember how much of a good job he did with ichigo in soul society and fullbring arcs in particular.

Its a direct counter like how Pernida is to Zaraki, the scene is meant to make Askin a big threat and deceptive with the scene emphasis that even Ichigo can get affected when the ability that counters him is reishi poisoning. The scene has never made ichigo look weak, heck he is not even in bankai form and already beating 90% of everything there..

I'm sorry the scene is awful. it just make the final battle between ichiho and yhwach the most predicable thing ever because there is no way the guy that just got down like that can do any thing to yhwach bankai or not. this is just not good writing especially with the abomination that is the true bankai that comes after.

That is an interesting perspective. I personally think it is good to show that the main character doesn't just auto beat everyone minus the main boss. It is ok to show that match ups can be a pretty big deal. Case in point, Pernida basically no diffs Kenpachi, who is one of the strongest soul reapers out there. It is just an awful match up. And someone like Askin needs to be handled by someone more varied. I wont spoil, but who he fights later makes sense. It is a nice breathe of fresh air to me honestly. It shows that yes, these enemies under the main boss are very threatening and no, the main character doesn't just auto beat them because he is the main character. SOO many shonen just lets the MC be absurd and broken and save the day and blah blah, so ill take this change up. To each there own; it is fine if you didnt like that. I dug it.

@@GodofGoblins whenever did ichigo auto beat the enemies under the main boss especially the strong or important ones? like ichigo loses and struggle a lot more before he wins that was always the case in bleach and I'm not asking for ichigo to beat askin (although he definitely should ) all I want is for him not to be taken down like that that simple is too much to ask not to do this to your mc while you are preparing him to fight the final big bad? but like you said to each their own you dug it and I believe its garbage to say the least. but I don't think you can argue that the way kubo wrote ichigo in tybw is one of the worst writings I ever saw for a mc in any sort of media like its unbelievably bad and this scene was just one the moments that showed that.
