(In advance I'm not hating you for your take, just a constructive critique on your opinion)....The thing with your klay hot take is that while your argument sounds like it has merit on the surface doesn't hold up under scrutiny...I get it sounds bad when people claim hes a top 15 player or whatever when hes only the 3rd or 4th best player on his own team(it was 3rd by the way) but when hes the 3rd best player on his team behind 2 of the top 3 players in the entire league (KD and steph) that leaves the POTENTIAL for him to be 4th best in the whole league still while if his teammates he was 3rd best behind were christ paul and blake Griffin or something- those 2 are only ranked 15-35th in the league leaving room for klay to be ranked only 36th best in the league at best. To sum up...leaving out where the 2 players on his team better than him rank league-wide is omitting critical context to where klay could rank in the league behind them. Personally I think hes about 15-20th when healthy he can give you 25-30 on offense whenever u need it and sometimes 50+ while he also locks down the opposing teams best player. Personally I feel hes 3% underrated because he does all the things bigger stars do and more but hes not flashy about it. If he learned how to handle better and cross up a few defenders next season hed get oooos and ahhhhhhs and put on a pedestal as a top 10 player easily,

@unknownuser56454 жыл бұрын
True shooting percentage is a measure for points per possession. A player that draws fouls and converts his free throws or is efficient from three has extra value for his team that can't be measured with classic fg%
@jovanbelegisanin2894 жыл бұрын
Imagine player A takes 10 shots. He takes 2 three pointers, and 8 two pointers. He hits 1/2 three pointers, and he hits 4/8 two pointers. That player has 50% FG% 50% from 3, and has scored 11 points. Now imagine player B, who also takes 10 shots, 9 three pointers and a single two pointer. He hits 4/9 for three, and misses his single two pointer. This player has 40% FG% , and is sub 50% from 3, and while he has shot lower percentage than player A, he has scored more points than player A (12). True shooting takes into accounts how many points player gets per shot attempted, any shot. Player can have high field goal percentage, and be an inefficient scorer, and vice versa.

wiggins is rea,ly overhated. yes he didnt live up to the hype but hes far from a bust. man averages 23, 4, 5, on 46% from the field. and on the warriors so far he was playing really good defense. hes gonna be really good on the warriors as the third option
@mqrlen_65084 жыл бұрын
No he’s hated just right we can talk when Wiggins takes an efficient shot he literally said field goal percentage is not a good percentage you bastard it doesn’t take into account free throws and stuff and his true shooting percentage was below league average he is not suitable as a third option on a championship team his defense is more of a disaster than 2020

I honestly can’t respect the authors perspective after seeing that Deandre Jordan take. The guy was never that good, people voting for him in DPOY polls over Draymond was ridiculous

I’m glad you aknowledged Blake’s year last year nobody thinks he’s good anymore but I thought he was the best he ever was and hot take: healthy Blake in giannis role on the bucks gets to the finals those last 2 years that Giannis failed Blake is legit 3 pt shooter not a sniper but legit you have to respect it then he’s still a top athlete in the league he can still bull his way to the basket he has a better handle and is a better passer and play maker then Giannis.. obviously Giannis is better defensively but Blake is solid defensively and it’s an effort thing really he’s not a liability anywhere so it would work
@ztlabraptor2114 жыл бұрын
The defensive gap is absolutely huge tho, as is their rebounding which is important since the bucks have Brook at Center. Blake also isn’t near as good as Giannis around the rim anymore

FG% isn't a dumb or bad stat... Yes, it doesn't tell the whole story but smashing 4 different stats into 1 doesn't make the 4 individual stats irrelevant.

Yeah, they clearly underestimated Lebron's longevity. Even during his bad season last year, he was still top 20. And they also forgot that Kawhi Leonard existed. Sure, nobody thought he would be nearly as good as he is now but he was predictably top 20 considering how he was the reigning finals MVP in 2015.

6'8 Athletic freak. Could handle the ball a bit could shoot a bit. He just didn't develop into a superstar. He had potential to be a better offensive kawhi

Idk I think Paul George could be almost on the same level as harden bc his defensive awareness is so valuable to a teams success. And if he had the green light like harden does he’d probably be a averaging like 25 to 28 and his defense added onto that? You could definitely ale the argument he’s an overall better basketball player than harden. But if you’re talking offense there’s no way he’s better

I mean if the NBA didn’t breakdown this kid’s confidence already trading him away, he maybe someone more. He has the talents to get him to that all star / superstar level. He was NEVER put in the right position to become a great player. The association ruined him, not him.
@benn255b34 жыл бұрын
As a King's fan we definitely ruin Boogies career or least wasted most of it, if we traded him like 2/3 year's earlier I think it would of benefited both side's.

Zion got too much fire in him for that to happen. The main reason Wiggins isn’t that good is confidence

Bender is still in the league in fact.. The Warriors are looking to keep him for some years to come.. They’re going to turn Wiggins Bender and Chriss into great role players around Steph Klay and Draymond. Warriors will be a problem next year.
@ElijahMCurry4 жыл бұрын
Sharpshooter 02 And You think KD gonna win with the team he has? GSW future looks a lot better than most. Top 5 pick this year and two first round picks next year. Wiggins is much better than Harrison Barnes. We just got better without KD; will be a much deeper team.
@ElijahMCurry4 жыл бұрын
Sharpshooter 02 Ok to put this in perspective what was the main reason why the GSW won for so long to begin with? One word.. Efficiency. They have the highest efficiency scoring 3pt shooters in the league; as long as Klay and Steph shoot the ball the majority of the time. Due to Steph being on the floor easier shots will be made for the supporting cast. And when your supporting cast aka Wiggins can score at an elite level he has no choice but to be efficient. People also forget how much of an advantage a team has when they have high IQ players. Draymond doesn’t get paid just for his performance he is a coach on the floor. Couple that with some new talent aka top 5 pick who also should have a High IQ because GSW will never draft someone so high that doesn’t know how to play right away. Most people think that they will draft Anthony Edwards or Wiseman. But I’ll guarantee they won’t because they don’t have the time to teach someone the in and outs of the game. There are only a few players with High basketball IQ on the offensive and defensive end coming up in the draft. Isaac Okoro and Tyrese Haliburton but based off of skill alone they will take Haliburton. Now they just acquired their bench point guard for the further until Steph retires. He is also a really efficient scorer. I really don’t understand how people are writing off the Warriors so easily. Klay just got comfortable with creating a shot off the dribble at a high efficient level; he’s still elevating his game. These young rookies they just had this year will be much better coming back due to the time they have in the gym plus no one wants to be traded from the team. People should be on the lookout for Eric Paschall and Jordan Poole. They will be nice pieces for the future plus Marquise Chriss ain’t a scrub either.
