EXCELLENT video!! Awesome tips! Thank you very much!!! TIP: DON'T LEAVE YOUR BLEACH IN A CLEAR OR SEMI CLEAR BOTTLE. It will go bad and not work to bleach your shirts. Believe me, I've done this. 🤪🤪🤪 Couldn't figure out why it wasn't working on 100% Cotton, then I realized the bleach had gone bad. It needs a solid color bottle to stay good. Or put it back in the original container every time then rinse your bottle as mentioned in the video. 😍 💞🦋🤗💞🦋🤗💞🦋🤗💞🦋

When you bleach the shirt, do you wash them in a delicate cycle with regular detergent for yourself and fabric softener and if it’s for someone else do a different kind ? Also when you dry do you use a regular heat cycle ?
@EmmasCottage3 жыл бұрын
Once the shirt is at the level of white that I want it at, I spray it with Peroxide and rinse with water and dawn dish soap. You do this to deactivate the bleaching effect. I then throw it in the wash. If its for myself I use regular detergent, if its for a customer I use "All free and clear" detergent. I do not use fabric softener as it can affect the area that I am going to sublimate on. I will either air dry or dry it on very low heat to prevent the shirt from shrinking. @EmmasCottage3 жыл бұрын
As long as the shirt is 100% dry of the bleach it usually wont spread, during the winter months this is harder since it is colder and there is less sun. setting the shirt in a hydrogen peroxide/water bath will help the bleaching stop before you wash it. Hope this helps!

Hey Emma it feels like I’m always commenting. I pressed a 100% poly shirt, straight sublimation and where I had 2 pieces of tape, it left a yellow stain. Any idea how to remove?
@EmmasCottage3 жыл бұрын
How strange I’ve never had the tape leave any residue or color. The only thing I can think of is that your heat press is hot, I always set my heat press at 390 because it seems to be off by about 10 degrees, so it’s actually about 400. Yours could be doing the same thing and with too much heat maybe it’s melting the tape. Try these things, get a heat measure gun and see if your heat press is burning too hot, if so reduce the temp. Use peroxide, throw it in the dryer and see if it disappears, last run it through a wash cycle. Other than that, I’m not sure.

HELP!! And advice would be GREATLY appreciated!!! I attempted to bleach my very 1st shirt & everything was a disaster, ughhh.. Not sure what I did wrong... The shirt was a kids Rabbit Skin 100% cotton Red shirt, it wasn't a hot day, late afternoon sun (still had about 3 hrs before sunset). I sprayed & let it sit as I watched it. I left it for about 35-40 mins flipping back & forth. It looked decent so I decided that was enough & threw it in the washer with plain cool water..... Well OMG, it has holes in 4-5 spots, it yellowed where the white areas were.... Just a total HOT MESS.... Trashed It! Is it the shirt, the bleach too long or too strong (if so how do you get it to be white)
