I tried to sublimate over glow in the dark HTV and my design is not vibrant at all and you can hardly see the design when its in the dark. What did I do wrong? I pressed the glow in the dark for only a few seconds to stick it to the shirt then put the sublimation design over and pressed that at 380 for about 40 seconds.

Hi. Great teaching! I just did a HTV printing on 100% cotton t shirt. Used sublimation print on an A Sub paper 120g. The print turned out faded. What should I do different? I checked my heat press platten temperature vs the readout..I got 25F lower reading from the 408F from the machine's readout. Could this have caused the faded result?

My first cut on my image came out perfect. When I do the second basic cut it cuts out slightly bigger but not all the way around. If I use this I will have white around some parts of my image. I've redone the whole thing and it's the same each time. Any ideas? Thanks.

There's no option to scale either one. I asked before about not having the print options you have (and other videos from other creators) and it's not like I don't know my way around a computer. The option to scale is set to none. I did some more testing and both images are exactly the same size in design space and it is basically a single shape that needs to be cut. On one test instead of basic cut I just made it print and cut and the second image is printed larger than the first. There were no changes in print settings. So, I've determined the cutter is working fine as it is cutting out what's printed. But the second print increases in size and it seems to be by almost a 1/4 inch. If I reduce the basic cut by .24 it lines up perfectly.

If you have converted your Epson 2850 printer to use sublimation ink, it is not recommended to use it for printing onto printable vinyl for an inkjet printer. Sublimation ink is specifically designed for sublimation processes and may not adhere properly to printable vinyl, which is typically designed for use with regular inkjet ink. For the best results, you should use a printer with regular inkjet ink for printing onto printable vinyl. If you want to use sublimation ink, you should stick to sublimation paper and compatible materials.

No, you can sublimate on a dark shirt by using a white heat transfer vinyl as base layer and sublimate on top of it. Press the HTV first, then sublimate over it. These items will work. I really wanted to be able to sub on black shirts but most of my designs have a white print. so is using the easysubli the ONLY way to do this and have the white show? I wanted to try to give my customers better quality shirts and not have to worry about vinyl peeling or anything. I know you washed them properly but unfortunately, there are a lot of people that don't read or listen to instructions so i feel with sub where the fabric is being dyed, i am avoiding the complaints that their shirt fell apart. Also, is easysubli different than htv printable transfer paper? bc i had a few customers already complain about the htv transfer paper i was using peeling even before washing.

I love we can use htv for sublimation but some of the problems with htv is eventually lifting. Sublimation is more permanent and another advantage is to be able to have so many colors and parts of the design.

This is especially good for those who are neurodivergent as this prepares one for everything to expect. Just perfect! I have a question: How do I create the "barrier" around a PNG image I want to sublimate then adhere to the HTV so it comes off the mat as one piece? I saw your "Think Happy" image had a barrier or surround of some kind, which I'm guessing stops the Cricut from cutting everything away that is transparent.

p;z helpi have ruined so many shirts trying to get this right, i put the bottome layer HTV with the shiny side down mirrored, then the subllimated design face down on the white vinyl i tacked the bottom layer before moving on but when ever i press the sublimated picture it sticks to the vinyl and the shirt is ruined. pls tell me what i am doiing wrong

You can use glow in the dark, glitter vinyl, EasySubli, the matte heat transfer vinyl that's receptive to sublimation inks but not on plain htv.
