Hi Jennifer, thank you so much for all of your tutorial videos, they are so helpful. Regarding sublimation prints using Siser Easy subli vinyl. Initial printing is crips, and vivid but after washing is the print appears blurry. Why would this be happening? Your print in video remained the same after washing.

Sublimation prints using Siser Easy Subli vinyl appear crisp and vivid initially but may become blurry after washing on a cotton shirt due to the nature of the materials and the washing process. Over time, the ink can start to bleed, especially in areas with dark colors. This blurring effect is more noticeable on cotton shirts because the fabric doesn't hold the sublimation ink as well as polyester. Additionally, washing and handling can cause the ink to spread slightly, leading to a less crisp design. To mitigate this, it's important to follow proper washing instructions, such as washing the shirts inside out with cool water and mild detergent on a gentle cycle. jennifermaker.com/sublimate-dark-shirts/

Your sublimation printer review really helped me decide which sublimation printer to get given I already have the Sawgrass 500 model but it’s hard to print designs large enough for larger shirt sizes. I chose an epson 15000 so I could have the wide format option.

Sublimation ink is transparent so you will see the color of the shirt through it. If your shirt is a dark navy then most likely you won't see the design. You can sublimate onto sublimation vinyl and put that on to your cotton shirt.🥰

Hi. Great teaching! I just did a HTV printing on 100% cotton t shirt. Used sublimation print on an A Sub paper 120g. The print turned out faded. What should I do different? I checked my heat press platten temperature vs the readout..I got 25F lower reading from the 408F from the machine's readout. Could this have caused the faded result?

We designed and made them on our 3D printer. We plan to share the print files on our blog at some point for anyone else who wants them. There are two styles -- the one on the left uses PVC pipes, so it’s height adjustable to your needs. The one on the right is all 3D printed except for the table, which is a piece of wood screwed to the legs. Both meet the requirements in Cricut’s Safety Instructions for “a flat and stable surface” as the Cricuts are just sitting on stable tables.

You can not sublimate on regular white htv. It's doesn't have the polyester content needed.🥰

@jennifermaker If I have a complex design that contains a lot of white in it. Do I need to add a shape behind the design? That way the Cricut knows to cut around the design and not all of the white pieces? If that makes sense. Do I need to use the welding tool as well for this? And masking, the mask I have was extremely difficult to transfer the vinyl to. I used the scraper tool for 15 minutes plus, is this normal? Is that the bonding process?
