I dye my hair at home I am NOT a hairdresser.. the only time I have had horrible damaged hair is when I go to the salon. My hair texture is very fine and thin and because I know my hair structure is fragile I know what products work and what doesn’t. I have even color corrected my hair at home with zero damage and I have had 2 separate stylist completely burn my hair off on completely separate occasions.

I saw HairBuda's reaction of your video and yes, I have been following him on YT for a while and I have noticed that he doesn't like box dye at all, maybe it's because in US and Europe hairdressers almost don't use box dye when they're dealing with their clients, where I live hairdressers don't use toners, just box dye, there are a few places that use toners, but you can't find them easily, imagine that here in my town hairdressers don't know Wella t18😅

I will only use L'Oreal Excellence medium brown to cover my grays. It's a great match and the ONLY box dye that will really cover grays. Works like a charm and I'll use it till I'm 90.

it's not the box dye that is the problem it's the developer! Most of the time it's an unknown volume and most of the time people don't know what condition their hair is currently in😅 you can totally use box color but I would mix it with your own developer from Sally's or something ❤

Hey bestie! I am having a hairsaster as well! I haven’t dyed my hair in a year and decided to dye it back to black with box dye but for some reason my hair is breaking off. I’ve dyed my hair black with box dye since 13 and never experienced this. 😨 The only thing I can think why it’s happening is because I left the dye in 5 more minutes. It’s okay when my hair is dry but once wet it starts breaking off. I’ve done treatments which has helped some but not a whole lot. Will the protein treatment you use help with the breakage? Anyways, your hair is adorable like always and the cut looks great! 😊

I haven’t put lightener or color remover on my hair for 7-8 years and more than a little half of my hair was my natural hair before dying it black. I was told when I was admitted in the hospital around 5 years ago that my thyroid is larger than it should be… They did a blood test at the time but they said they don’t see anything wrong with my thyroid in the test. My hair has also been falling out for 3 years now and you can see the root on the strands of hair that do fall out. I’m beginning to wonder if my thyroid is having issues now. It’s just so odd to me my hair was very healthy until I used the box hair dye that I’ve used many times before without any issues. I forgot to also say it feels kind of what dry grass feels like and if I rub my hair between my fingers it feels crunchy. 😦 I haven’t even styled it since or used any heat. I’ve been putting a protein/heat protectant on my hair after washing and conditioning it which seems to help somewhat. I really don’t understand what went wrong. All I can come up with is either the dye was bad or it’s possibly my thyroid.
