Bledi ruž - Bledi ruž [Full EP]

*Historical context:* Bledi ruž was original band of Zvonko Pantović and Dragan Urošević before they formed famous pop rock project Osvajači in 1990. They re-worked Bledi ruž songs for their first album Krv i led but it absolutely lacked energy which original version had and instead of melodic heavy metal it was rather mediocre pop rock with annoying keyboards. This can be heard especially in song Gde da pobegnem which is interesting example how excellent song can be bastardized just for the sake of larger radio potentional or whatever it was. Bleda ruž EP was originally issued as self-released split with Kragujevac based band Debela nensi.

The biggest tragedy IMO is that they didn't get the chance they deserved to record their first album on time, and when they finally got the chance, it was done by people who had absolutely no idea how to do a heavy metal album. Bledi Ruz, or Osvajaci, could've been a legendary band with dozens of great hits, but, sadly, they ended up with two mediocre records and a couple of great songs.

We all have different tastes,but in my opinion this cannot be compared to 1990's versions of these songs.I think they've put a lot more effort instrumentally and vocally.I know it's just a demo but Chippy sounds garbage here.Album ,,Krv i led" is a well developed HARD-ROCK album with some heavy metal influences.I'm not a musician,I'm just a listener but I don't know what made you say that this is pop-rock.Could you explain?

You should first listen to Osvajači Krv i led and then comment about lack of energy. It's way better than this. This is like demo. It's well produced and more hard & heavy...

Yeah it has professional production but that doesn't mean it's better... I honestly like both versions of the song and Krv i led album is good album but I have to agree with HM of Eastern Block that this raw sound fits the songs better...
