Turned out great man. I'm sure you're aware, but I thought I'd mention it just in case you're not - you said a couple times aluminum is nice because it doesn't rust. It will corrode though, if left exposed to the elements, in a bunch of different ways. And if left untreated, can be pretty catastrophic to a part. But again, nice work on the tire carrier - it looks awesome.

What do you do for the third brake light? I put a cheapy LED bar type one (along with a backup camera) on my DV8 tire carrier that mounts basically exactly the same. So, had to run the wires thru the tube on the hinge side with an external service loop to navigate the hinge. I think it works pretty good, but I'd be interested to see what you come up with. I really enjoy your videos.

I've never messed around with the third brake light. I pretty much only drive it on the street when I'm in Moab Utah and if I was getting pulled over up here it wouldn't be for the brake light lol

I said it once and I’ll say it again, awesome fab work Nate! Quick question though. How do you like the maxxis razr tires? I was looking at those for my TJ

Very cool. I'm planning a similar build so your video is exactly what I needed. Are your mount points tied into the cage or just body mounted?
