I absolutely love your furniture tutorials! I'm at a point where I'm starting to get really good at modeling and I love to watch how you approach things. watching your videos, I always learn little tips and tricks to improve my modeling efficiency. it's wonderful how much you rely on modifiers. It is a godsend when you are transitioning for CAD programs to blender. A lot of video game asset tutorials want to do everything by hand, which when making architectural assets is a nightmare. Thank you. 😘

hey! Thanks so much! Yes modifiers as muchhhh as possible :P. They are the least destructive method which is great. I didn't know they always try to use them all by hand in those tutorials. I'll try to do some more. If you have any suggestions do let me know :D

7:19 i can you explain the "apply scale" ? I dont see any changing / effect on the model. Thanks.
@imeshh4 жыл бұрын
It's good to get into the habit of applying the scale before you add any modifiers which rely on the objects scale. Here I applied it just encase the object scale was wrong. For example if the object was 100m tall and then I scaled it down to 1m, blender remembers the original 100m and then applying a solidify modifier would have undesired results. So it's just good to apply scale before these actions, just encase :) Or later down the line if you forgot to apply the scale, and the scale was wrong it could cause you issues with other modifiers

Nice tutorial. Can you make a another sofa tutorial? With rendering.
@imeshh4 жыл бұрын
I can certainly try! They do take some time but do you have any type of sofa in mind? Also with regards to rendering. Is that how to add materials and render them in a studio scene or would you like to see them rendered in a photorealistic scene?
@rnger32774 жыл бұрын
@@imeshh thanks for your reply. Architonic. Amazing site for furniture and many more about architecture. What about L type sofas? Your choise. :) Hardest point is realistic wrinkles for me. i want to do photorealistic sofas. Like sofas made with marvelous designer but in blender. Marvelous is very expensive. :) For rendering im looking for product render like your video cover image. Studio renders for chairs, sofa... i see that amazing renders on imesh and i need to do that for my products before uploading imesh. Btw sorry for my English. So think like that "this is a tutorial for imesh. For how to modeling furnitures, than rendering"
