If you inspect the rigidbody settings, there is a checkbox that says animated. If you check it, the rigid body is not part of the simulation. And, you can animate that checkbox by inserting keyframe :) So you can let them fall and then on certain frame, animate their "animated" rigid body property and they would freeze in place

When you do low poly modeling do you need the mesh topology to circle around the mouth and eyes and nose or is that not required for molding for animation characters

That topology is needed if you are going to animate it, if not, then it’s not required, sometimes it depends on how the mesh is going to be used.

@@dannie963 i dont get the question but topology can be created by using knife and cuts to remesh. i am not really good with topology becoz i am into environment artist, and my mesh really dont need good topology as they wont be animated.

Thank you for this tutorial, I absolutely love your channel and the content you provide! Do you have any advice on how to export & render the final animation ? I've been watching your vids recently but this is the first one with animation so I am a bit confused on what do I need to do. I tried with F12 for render but I see that's not the thing I need.

Glad to help! Go to output tab and specify the output path and file format, then press CTRL+F12 for timeline render :)

It's the same UI and same modeling techniques. It's Blender 3.0 compatible and critical changes will get updated (though there are no breaking changes)

Hey Loved the video, Have a problem , How may i extend the animation beyond 250 frames, seems to get stuck at the 250 after i have ectended the scene frames to 500, mabe something is there i cant find, btw my fps is set to 60 and thats all i did diffrent to this video

I think rigidbody simulation has it's own frame settings, have a look in the World tab and physics section

Are you using NVDIA GPU? It's nvidia exclusive feature (but with 3.0 i think there are options now for AMD as well)
