i love when new tutorials come out, watching the old ones are stressful they do something that doesn’t in blender anymore and you have to find and alternative that’ll work with everything you just did

Big suggestion: try to down-scale your webcam or put it where it isn't necessary to look. In many many tutorials your face covers crucial parts of the screen, hope it is just a distraction of your own. Your tutorials are so dope, it would be awesome to see less your face and more what you do. (also a keyboard reader on-screen would be appreciated, tutorials would be easier to follow) Thank you for the great contents you publish on YT

Overall an excellent tutorial. There are numerous issues (20+, resulting mainly from the webcam obscuring the settings and steps missing from the tutorial due editorial cuts.) However, these issues turned out to be beneficial as I learnt more resolving these issues than blindly following a tutorial. I managed to successfully complete, resolve all the issues and set-up the final product to my own requirements. Recommended!

The animation choice is awesome, CG Geek. One thing that would sell the effect more would be to have the ring spin around the sphere while it was in the process of melting, rather than revealing the hot ring and making the assumption. The bars on the side only work if you're looking for them, but the realization only hits after the fact.

Thanks for the tutorial and the effort, but i found it really hard to follow when it came to simulation. I am an intermediate user and used both mantaflow and flip fluids a bit. However, the speed you go over things, skip steps and the general buggyness of mantaflow frustrated me massively. Even after checking the mesh checkbox, things did not work out and I stopped after trying for an hour. Maybe next time focus on getting the simulation setup right, which objects you disable and so on and so forth. the editing makes it difficult to follow. Another example of this is the applying the boolean at frame 40... which you never mention. Not trying to be negative here, but I find the speed and the lack of context does not really help me understand your idea, but makes me blindly mimic what you do. If I get it right, i learned not too much, if I miss a step, I am frustrated. Sorry for the negative feedback, appreciate your work and effort a lot!

How do you get rid of the Liquid Domain in renders / viewport? It stays a cube until frame 40, then the simulation runs fine as it should and after it is finished it transforms back into a cube (at frame 201) . I tried to disableing the visibilty, but that turns off the actual simulation aswell.
@CGGeek2 жыл бұрын
Just animate the visibly in renders by hovering over the camera and inserting a keyframe. Then you can turn the view off in the viewport, or make it visible as just wireframe in the object settings.
