If you're having trouble with getting the water to look more clear, 1.) make sure your lighting settings under Cycles is defaulted (mine was changed from other starting config setups) and 2) turn the saturation down on the base color of the water. Having it too high made my water darker and harder to see through.

What would be the optimal settings for rendering this animation and not taking like forever to finish? What I could found said to uncheck the tile option and just put the render samples down to 128 and it still takes a while to finish rendering (I have a very fast PC so my setup is not really adding anything to that problem, it just takes a long time to render). So I was wondering if there was any other particular settings that I'm ignoring to do a smooth render like the one in your vid in maybe, I don't know, 10 minutes or so?

Dude.... I can't focus on anything beyond the water reflection. I have followed this guide all the way through, pausing and playing the video galore and my water looks like jello and solid while yours looks like actually like low poly see through water. How? I adjusted and messed with the roughness and transmission just like you did. Is it something in my settings that I need to mess with? Uninstall and reinstall Blender to adjust the fixes? I'm not convinced that everyone else in the comments did it as perfect as you without extra help. I also ended up with some lighting issues too but very minor. I'm more concerned about the water part as I really like yours but mine is just poop.

@Baaagel2 жыл бұрын
@@corimyers4985 I think I know what's wrong. When he made the circle, he made a duplicate for later use. What I imagine is your problem is that you have both of those circles selected on top of each other, which will result in nothing happening, cause you're trying to extrude both of them. So maybe try to hide one of them, then try to extrude again. If that's not the problem, I would recommend you ask on r/blenderhelp
