Offtopic: 😅 Does anyone know of any useful blender addons for hard surface armor? There’s several for clothing.. but I would like to speed up my modelling process for scifi armor 🙈😇

Sadly I don’t think the animation layers creator’s working on the animation layers addon anymore

He is waiting to see if Blender adds a proper animation layer system in 2025 that makes his addon obsolete. that is why I am skipping 4.x and staying with 3.6 LTS(with animation layers ARP and faceit) until I see what is coming in 2025, instead of breaking most of my addons just for these pooware ornamental changes they made in 4.x

@@AutodidactAnimotions it’s funny I was gonna do the same thing but I saw all these video about how blender 4.0 animation’s crazy lol. If you were to update to 4.0 animation layers still works really well so I didn’t have to go back to 3.6.

@@Smplisti The new bone layer manager in 4.x is cool and, yes, was much needed and the new viewport bone colors are “cute” I suppose the light linking feature(That I had in C4D for 20 years) is not enough for me to break my animation pipeline But 4.X kept the decrepid NLA and Rigify still has no native built-in mocap retargeter or Control rig picker panel Like ARP or Maya advanced skeleton. so I gain nothing but potential problems by “upgrading” to 4.X

@@Pleotech No it wasn't one video it was a series of videos from multiple youtubers that blended into one type of content promoting the same addons , kind of making it pointless to watch the videos if it wouldn't provide that much new information I've seen Ivy generator, Faceit, Simplycage, so many times that I actively DON'T want to get them, a sort of Over-Exposure fatigue The youtubers promote the same things over and over and over so many times that it just becomes tiring, that is why, so I decided to unsubscribe from youtubers that do that, until they start making new content or promoting things that haven't been promoted in previous videos many times already (Since i can always access old videos anytime)

Best softwares only lacking is that linking fbx obj dae as albemic caches where archviz changes by refreshing model update with materials. When blender have this sure it becomes Archviz standard software

Thanks for the feedback! Every year, there are new animation addons and this is just an update that includes new animation addons that came recently, in addition to the old ones and their updates as well.

I got the x-muscle addon, haven't realy played with it much yet though. I did disect the raptor skeleton though and use bits of it to build another model, which i'll probably evetually try adding muscles to. Havent picked up auto-rig yet, spent probably close to 90$ already on retopo flow and a few other addons so...and i've never really been one for animating anyway

I got RTX 3050 4GB VRAM it hurt🤕 everytime i am in viewport.. PLEASE HELP

RTX 3050 4GB is good as a start but I would recommend something more powerful for 3D projects. something like RTX 3060 12GB, and if you have the budget for it is better to get RTX 3090 or anything in the range of RTX 4060-4090
