Blender Connect/Join two Curves/Paths together into a single one (troubleshooting)

There is no function in Blender to join two curves together into a single one with the functionality of a single curve. So here are some steps to watch, including a solution to a misbehavior of Blender when it comes to rebuild the curve.

where is the Vertex context menu?? I don't see the shortcut anywhere. Is there an addon I am supposed to turn on? I hit 'W' tried different shortcuts everybody suggesting and am on edit mode. . . nada. . . not working. I reversed curve directions too.

Hi Add, I am sorry for that but it’s Long ago I had this issue. I think it must be the edit menu and click the key ‘1’ for manipulating vertices. Hope this will help, thanks for watching 🙂

why not select both curve points hit F and then delete the extra point ?

No need to convert to mesh. Just select the two vertices of the curve where you want to open, click on X and then on Segment. Then simply join the two curves by selecting the end vertices and clicking F.
