Your recent load of tutorials have been incredible, I like how quick and direct they are. I'm a beginner but these are really useful. If there was a way you could make a tutorial in this format but about more generalized end-products or concepts (rather than making a scene or objects) then I think you'd be one of the biggest channels. There is a tiny icon in the upper right corner of the 3D view that looks like a bow and arrow. Make sure that is on “blue” and when you press shift + space and choose whatever tool you want, it “should” show the manipulators. Try that and see if it works.

Thanks!! To answer your question, shadows in EEVEE are weird but controllable to a degree. There is a shadow setting where the opaque, etc setting is for shaders. I’ll have to do a video on it down the line, but they are available for transparent objects, just different from Cycles. Do mean like a shadow catcher for EEVEE? Thanks!

That's not DNA molecule, in order to do that, begin by the main structure with only edges and verticies, then add a sphere, and dupliverts , make real, after that, go ahead and resize the spheres so they match the proportions of the atoms in their respective positions, (Mainly : Carbon, Nitrogen, Oxygen, Hydrogen), add material according to each atom type: Black, Yellow, Red, Blue)....try to be precise in the distances between atoms ....

I did it exectly step by step but my material looks a lot different, subsurface looks different. Is it possibile that this is because i did it in a very small scale?
@Wzxxx5 жыл бұрын
I spent hourse to figure it why. I think this is because of refraction turned on. It makes a lot of difference. If it is turned on it somehow kills subsurface. I had it turned off before and even small subsurface gives a much more relistic effect. In tutorial it is turned on. On the other i am not sure if in tutorial he turned on subsurface translucency and screen space refraction on in material settings?
