I must say, when tutorials do something wrong first, then goes back to correct it, is such a powerful teaching technique. To present the most likely mistakes beginners will probably make and show them how to correct it before they make it, is next level. 👍🏼

Another option to consider for the box falling into the pit (so you don't have to animate it, and it looks more realistic), is you can keyframe up a rigid body simulation to kick off RIGHT as the box hits the end of the conveyor - the way to do this is 1) Make sure you apply the bool modifier to factory floor for the hole, and set the floor a 'passive' rigid body with type 'mesh' (the default collision type of 'Convex Hull' will have your box just float above the pit. 2) Also apply a 'passive' rigid body modifier to the conveyor belt 'interior' (not to the moving belt, for simplicity) - you can set the collision margin on this object to be a bit beyond the surface of belt's interior so it looks like the box collides with the moving belts instead of the belt interior. 3) for the box on the belt, make it an 'active' rigid body, and you need to keyframe the 'Animated' box as 'checked' (by clicking the little dot to the right of it when you're on Frame 1), and then, at the frame where the box should just start to tip over the edge of the belt, uncheck the 'Animated' property and make sure you keyframe it as unchecked. With this setup, the box will switch from being an animated object to a physics sim right at that frame, and it will inherit the velocity it had when it was 'traveling' along the belt in it's animation, so it will tumble off the end of the belt pretty nicely and roll into the pit. ((All of these physics options can be accessed by clicking on the 'physics' tab on the right, when you have any object selected, it's two entries below the 'modifiers' tab.)) Note as well if you do this, the center of gravity of your object defaults to your object's origin (orange dot), so if you followed this tutorial by-the-books, you get a super bottom-heavy box with the physics sim, might be fun to play with that to see how many you can stack in the pit.

At 3:00 if the plain did not stick to the curve, it's because you need to apply scale before adding the modifier. apply scale, transform then it'll stick to your plain (curve)
@zsasz43702 ай бұрын
Thanks a ton man, I was scratching my head for this issue
@СвятославРябовАй бұрын
Who has a problem with the curve at 3:00 (blader version 4.1): Creating a curve: 1) When you scale the plane and move the vertex, the centre of the model does not change. 2) Therefore, after you convert a plane to a curve, you need to change the centre(origin) of the object. 3) To do this: Object - Set Origin - Origin to Geometry 4) Press Cntrl + A and apply the transformation (all transformation) Filling the curve: 1) Create a plane, scale it as you need. Apply the transformation (cntrl+A - Scale). 2) Apply Array modifier 3) In the Fit Type option select Fit Curve and use a pipette to select our curve. 4) Add edges of the plane as in the video 5) Apply the Curve modifier and use the pipette to select our curve again.

Can someone help me? (I found a solution, but it's strange). So, when I made the curve in the beginning, we dragged down the top two vertices with G + Z and that yellow dot in the center was the only thing that didn't move. But I got a nice curve. Now at 08:38 we make something similar, but this time we scale down S + Z and that yellow dot remains in the center. For him, the bevel Ctrl B + V works, but for me, it doesn't bevel the left and right edge of my rectangle. The black dots (or vertices) appear from the center and go to the four corners, but not the left and right side of my rectangle. I struggled for a while, but if I do this step and instead of scaling down along the Z-axis, I just grab the top two vertices and drag them down, (like we did in the beginning), it finally works. Can someone explain this? I'm still new to Blender. Sorry

When I divide the width of my object by 2 in the Median X axis, like shown at 7:02, for some reason the object doesn't move all the way like on the video. It moves in the right direction, but not as far as it should. In my particular case, the width of my object is 0.476013 m, and when I divide it by two, it doesn't align properly with the reference point. I managed to figure that it's offset by 0.1, so the correct input on my Median X axis is not the division by 2, but the width minus 0.1 (so, 0.476013 - 0.1, which is 0.376013). That fixed it and made it look like what's in the video, but now I'm wondering why it worked differently with me. After investigating, I suspect the issue relies on the array modifier, where we set the Factor X to 1.100, which would make the 0.1 offset make sense. I have Relative Offset checked and did everything else like on the video. I'm on Blender 4.0, by the way. Any help?
