Hi zerobio, I don't get what you did at 32:26. How can you move the pivot point to the bottom center of the text? Sorry English is not my native language.
@zerobio5 жыл бұрын
I believe the pivot point is at the bottom of text by default when you create the text. You can centre the text or justify it in the text panel on the right side. I think you have to scroll down in that panel a bit to find it. Look for something that shows 3 positions for justifying text...left, centre and right. Hope you can solve it.

When I use the eyedropper to conform it to the circle curve it places the watch band way outside of the circle for some reason.
@zerobio5 жыл бұрын
Yes that will happen. Make sure you apply rotation and scale to the watch object (Ctrl-A and select that). Make sure the transform tool is set to the object. Try to select different axes in the curve modifier (x, y, z, -x, -y, -z) as sometimes one works where the other doesn't. Then use the transform tool to move the object closer to the curve (try move in x, y or z). Once the object is close to the curve and is curving the way you want, you can always set the transform tool back to the 3d cursor and keep moving the object. If all fails, please try again, using a test object (arrayed) and with curve modifier. Keep trying until you find a method that works for you. Sometimes I go into edit mode (now the objects are in a straight line again with the single arrayed object selected) and I rotate it in the x or y and then back into object mode and it follows the curve better. Try that too.

How I can add different material and quit the orange colour?
@zerobio6 жыл бұрын
In shading options (press N To bring up the menu), uncheck matcap. That will remove the orange colour and show any default material. You can leave on ambient occlusion if you like.

How do you apply the cube to the circle by using the curve modifier*
@zerobio6 жыл бұрын
Make the cube, keep it thin and reasonably small. Make sure the circle is a curve and not a mesh. Apply a curve modifier to the cube and choose the circle as the object . Add an array modifier to the cube and increase the count to make more cubes. You may have to move the cube (and the arrayed pieces) in the x, y or a axis to get it to follow the curve. Sometimes it seems like it's not working but all you have to do is move the cube closer to the curve or up or down to get it to follow the path. If it still doesn't work, start again just with cube and circular curve and try again. If you still can't get it to work, let me know and I can make a short video showing just that part for you. Good luck and just remember to start again, even on a new layer with just a curve and cube with array on it and curve modifier on it.

zerobio can i ask a question? What are you working on, is your work more closely related to modeling?
@zerobio6 жыл бұрын
Kenshi, I am not working on anything in particular. As you look around my channel, you will notice that I am mostly a musician and not so much a Blender artist. However, since my daughter is only just over one year old now and is quite a bundle of energy, I don't really have time for music anymore and only the odd couple of hours to work on Blender. So I just do it for fun when I can. My previous job was as a high school science teacher so I have tons of video tutorials about teaching science on my channel. I was never a graphic or 3D artist, obviously LOL. Thanks for asking.
