As always, simply excellent. Now I know how that space probe felt plunging through the atmosphere of Saturn. Thanks!

Damn, that's pretty cool. Would something similar be possible in UE4/5? I feel like it should but I've only started to look into things like volumetric ray marching shaders, HLSL isn't my strong suit tho so it's been slow going.

It is possible, yeah. But the amount of samples for this to look the same would need substantial work.

@@ArghanionsPuzzlebox Thanks for reply. I want to create short cinematic space films. Not sure what is better, Unreal or Blender.

Blender (cycles) is a lot better for high fidelity visuals, especially when it comes to volumetrics and effects like a blackhole, while unreal engine looks a bit too much like a video game in those scenes, but pathtracing in unreal can help with fidelity although the render times will be similar to blender cycles. Main problem with pathtracing is that it usually doesn't support a lot of the projects for example shown on my channel. If you want a headstart for unreal engine, most of my patreon projects are good for space related content. I can't say I can recommend one specifically, unreal will be faster, blender will be visually appealing but needs a lot of patience to get righr and rendering takes a long time.
