You can do any deformation on your character with shape keys. Peter France of corridor used lattice modifier which is quite more complicated. This method is more simple but the outcome still the same. Good job my friend😊👍

Yeap! As you can see in the tutorial/Breakdown i use multiple shape keys which can be animated as you wish. Am also please with the results i got. If you watch the video till end you will learn a lot of tips and trick in the process.

really great work the actual effects is solid, some tips though Add a slight camera rotation to make the bars look more real as they look very 2D (then camera track in blender put a few markers on ur green screen) Better key so u dont look like a cut out And if u are embedding ur scene in the matrix match the green colour grade

@@isaacbender3318 I'm not looking at it with a normal eye, I'm looking as a VFX compositor cause that's what I do. Plus that doesn't look real. So those are the little things he can do to make it look super real so much that people can't tell it's CG cause that's the whole idea is VFX, people don't need to know it is Computer Generated. There's so much specular/gloss on the metal bar.

Still amazes me that to this day modern technology still only somewhat comes close to replicating this effect, a while back I listened to an interview with the people who made T2 and they pretty much aren't sure either how they did it, a lot, and I mean a lot of things were thrown at the wall to make that shot and even today nothing can truly replicate it, this is a great version of the animation but there are waaaaaaay too many little artifacts that prevent me from believing it like in T2, still amazing work, and tutorial.

Bro i appreciate the hard work but this effect takes only 5 minutes with the dynamic paint , Just set the face object as dynamic paint as canvas And set its type to displace And now select the bars object and enable dynamic paint on it as well after that just set the dynamic paint type to brush and ur all set no much need of hard work But it must need some finishing details so you might have to work on that

there is another way to approach this effect, which is called dynamic paint. it is not as tedious, but it will take more time for the computer to load. give it a try! it's really cool
