The things we gotta do to find an all-day smoke with an honest mixture of nice natural tobacco and a tasty aromatic that behaves and has just enough sweetness- without paying extravagant prices and then always worrying about smoking too much. I am still constantly experimenting with the Big 4 of the HH Flakes mixed with a half-dozen of Sutliffs most mild aromatic ribbons attempting to create an affordable high quality all-day smoke that does not get too boring too quickly. Hola Mark & Thomas, a very interesting idea with the Toscanos. I like bothe, the Toscani and this Mac Baren tobacco and the taste of Nutella too. I am sure I will give it a chance, because my own favourite aromatic mixture is a mixture of three different Mac Baren tobaccos. I have made a video about this mixture too - smell and taste like dark chocolate. I will see if I can reach up this Toscani in my shop in Las Palmas. Thanks so much vo this new experiment. When I blend in cigars or ropes, I use a guillotine cigar cutter to make the coins. And if you cut the ropes at an angle, it makes rubbing it out a lot easier. Cheers!

The automatic white balance is responding to light, light temperature that falls in the lens in that specific angle. Different lamps, different light, different light balance. Nice video non the less.

Fantastic content, Mark. I first had Nutella in Germany, then bought some years later in the states. It was not at all what I remember. My memory of it was more savory and flavorful. American Nutella is less flavorful and very sweet. Brilliant commentary about 50/50 by weight vs. by volume!

Greetings from NYC dearest professor! A great video of aromatic pipe smoking and friendship! Unfortunately the italian cheroots we get here are not like the Toscanini in your video. In fact they are known as the “Italian stinkers” and they don’t smell like Nutella. Still one can find vanilla or anisette ones from mail order. It may be good to mix with Mc Barren’s Golden Extra - it’s a mellow toasted Barley - a replacement of their long gone and greatly missed London mixture. It was an insult to chop the beautiful toscanos into flakes.....to honour the true sentiment of the famous Toscano Cigar, you are hereby requested to smoke at least one Toscano in its cigar form with your outstanding smoking style....I mean keeping the stick in your mouth, and chew and talk and exhale dense smoke of the cigar.

I think mixing cigar leaf destroys the subtlety in good pipe tobacco. Way too intense and opposite of what a good pipe tobacco should reflect. Talk about “burning rubber” cigar leaf is like burning dried cabbage 🥬 - No thanks, but interesting experiment. Cheers 🍻
