First of all, a big thank you for your demos on this amp! Secondly, the video itself sounds superb! That's not always easy, so kudos there! The guitar settings and their differences come through incredibly well. The p 90s and the single wounds demonstrate the most difference in sound from setting to setting. The humbuckers-I don't hear it as much. Just a great demo, thanks again!

thanks for featuring all the tones with all the different configurations. honestly every one of your combinations sounded superb, hard to pick a favorite. i'm sure it probably would be a bit easier to discern the differences if i was actually using the amp at home. looking forward to seeing your video using pedals with this amp. i'm seriously considering purchasing the aviator cub, it checks a lot of boxes for me.

I just tried this, using a Y cable, blending two channels. It seems to provide a much fuller tone. I like the Tweed and Blonde mix.

Another more versatile way to do this is with an A/B/Y switch so you switch between two or have two on at once.

Awesome video can’t wait to try this ! Any chance you could link me the Y-split cable you’re using ? Is it TS or TRS ? Mono ?

The amp has a nice compact size good for room practise. Yes, changing guitars requires different eq settings most of the times. Keeping the knobs twelve o clock is a good middle ground I agree. What is your opinion about the new D’addario extendable pedalboard? I have no experience with pedalboards but it looks quite handy

It looks cool! Definitely a solid design. Mick had a great video about building one on the “that pedal show” channel. You should definitely check it out.

Interesting - so you could also run two guitars through this amp at the same time? (for practice) - thanks!

Great video, super useful, thank you, subbed the channel! It's a fun amp for sure. I bought it a couple of days back because I'm a student and I have had enough of carrying a tube amp everywhere on foot even if it's not one of the really heavy ones, it's still still clunky and double the weight :) Now I can practice late as well thanks to the headphones jack! To be honest, I even prefer the tone over the tube amp! :D Any chance of that pedal video coming any time soon? Thinking between an OD or a delay pedal. There is like one music store where I study and they only have a couple of pedals haha. So not sure between amp in a box (tweed), low gain blues OD or just go for a delay. Would be nice to see how the amp responds to a pedal vs just pushing the gain on it :) I play Chet style fingerpicking and Jazz and want to get into more Blues/Rockabilly tones too, any advice would be awesome!

Thanks so much for watching! Yes the pedal video is coming soon. My last couple pedal demos have all been through the quilter amp as well. It really handles pedals like a champ. The amp sounds great with soap back and delay and also really responds will to boosts. I think for the type of music you play a nice slap back delay and boost pedal would suit you well with this amp.

Hey another quick question if that's ok haha. I bought a Y cable. But one side of the split is really quiet but the other is regular volume. I thought it was faulty and ordered a different one but this one is also the same. Am I doing something wrong or is just the wrong cable?
@blazeofglory1982
@blazeofglory1982 2 жыл бұрын
Hmm that’s interesting. I’m not to sure what might cause that. Maybe reach out to quilter? I’m sure they’d be able to help. I’m sorry I haven’t encountered that with my amp.

@@blazeofglory1982 No idea, got a y split mono adapter and that works fine. Probably just a wrong or faulty cable before. Thank you anyways tho, just happy it works!

Thanks for your videos. I'm very seriously considering this amp. This video is particularly informative but I would like to hear the difference between single and combined inputs. Is there a big difference in volume between single and combined? Are you aware of any pedals that could switch between single, double or triple inputs?
@blazeofglory1982
@blazeofglory1982 2 жыл бұрын
Check out my first video for this amp where I demo the individual inputs. To my ears the volume is the same between single and combined inputs. I’m not aware of any pedals that could switch or combine inputs. That would certainly be interesting. Thanks for watching!

Because I review so much gear, I have to practice catch and release. Some things I keep longer than others. I kept this amp for a good long time. Played out with it and everything. So, no I don’t still have it, but I miss it.
