The Quilter Aviator Cub is a great Grab and Go Combo. 50 watts 12 inch speaker. 3 voices. this demo was made using the Tweed Channel. The Guitar is a stock Fender Road Worn Tele. The Guitar was plugged straight into the Amp and no post effects were added. for more info www.quilterlab...

I have had a Fender Princeton Reverb for about 10 years and I have never ever desired a different amp and I doubt I ever will. It cured me of all gear envy and put my mind in a tranquil state of complete satisfaction.

Feel you...also love my Princeton, but I needed more tweed for my Tele.

Is it possible to feel tranquil state with an amp? If you haven't tried other amps before?😊

Hey man, that’s awesome playing, you have made it to virtuoso. I hear the input and the exploration and it’s really right on, I can hear your journey, and I know it’s a long road. Unreal playing man, well done 🙏✌🏻

Tim Lerch isa great jazz guitarist. And I've tried the Aviator Cub a Quilter dealer in my neck of the woods. It is one cool amp. Very versatile. Great to see that Quilter has brought back the Aviator series.

Nice! I use a Quilter 101 due to your reviews from back when those came out and your demos today could very well be bad news for me :)

I like this, both playing and that tone! But am eyeing the Quilter Superblock US for home recording use as Im hoping it will fit well with my Jensen 12/100 alnico speaker cab.

Great playing! Wondering if you can answer a question about the aviator cub? I'm dealing with arthritis and the weight of my tube amps seriously aggravate the pain. I bought a superblock u.s. which I like a lot but 1: it's not quite loud enough for the venues I play and 2: the speaker cabinet by itself weighs more than the aviator combo. Because of these things I'm considering the aviator cub. Been all over KZbin but can't find demos at gig volumes. Are you able to play live with it in a smaller venue? My format is typically 3-4 piece texas blues, not extremely loud but need enough headroom to play over a sometimes overzealous drummer. Being class d, I thought the superblock rated 25 watts would suffice but it's not nearly as loud as my 15 or 30 watt all tube combos. (Both are from Ben Fargen) If you have time your thoughts are appreciated.

I found the original aviator cub to be a bit under powered for live situations. I like and use the quilter 202 tone block. I also like and use the fender tone master deluxe reverb. (very light weight and good sounding alternative to a “real “ deluxe reverb.)

What do you think of the Aviator Cub Tim? Be interested to hear a side-by-side with a tube amp. Listened to the demos at Quilter. It's hard to tell on my computer, but a fender tube amp seems to be a little more dynamic or "blooms" more than the solid-state. It would be nice to know your thoughts on the amp. Your playing, as always....joyful and inspiring. Thanks man! :)

Great stuff as always. Do you like the cub better than the 101 Reverb with cab? Just curious. I was thinking of ordering the 101 and then saw this demo.

hi Tommy, that was a little chromatic counterpoint that I have been obsessing over lately( I play it about 6 times in various way during this performance ) it starts with an octave and then the bottom comes up chromatically and the top comes down chromatically the middle note stays put then it becomes a minor 9 chord after that I resolve it in various ways .

@@TimLerchGuitar Cool. You and those dual CC's.lol I like the out of phase on those, the dual hums, and the p90s. I'm probably going to install either the two hums or two p90s in one at some point. Can't decide which. Btw I bought a mint condition fender short scale tele based off your high tuned tele videos. Great idea. Fun to play.
